Story
Located DFW area, willing to travel — Due to the loss of my husband, primary caregiver and main provider for a bonded pair of Great Danes (Lulu and Ava) it is with a heavy heart that I must rehome my girls, while I would prefer to keep them together I understand bringing 2 large Great Danes home is a lot for anybody. Lulu is 5 1/2 - 6 years old and weighs approximately 110 lbs. She is a special girls that had Wobblers as a puppy, but had surgery to correct the spinal compression. Even at her age she often acts like a puppy. She will lay her head on your shoulder for loving. While she will go in a crate, we have found it is not necessary when we leave her alone for during the day or at night. She would rather be around people, than play with a toy, however, when given a toy she will throw it around for a few minutes; then return to whomever is nearby. She was sensitive about her feet being touched, but she is becoming accustomed to nail trims. She eats Kirkland (Costco) food.

Ava is 5 1/2 - 6 years old and weighs 145-150 lbs. She is a sensitive girl with a big bark. She tries to be a protector but is shy. She is only allowed hard chew toys because she will try to shred any soft toy. She will carry around a stuffed toys in her mouth, like a newborn puppy, completely hiding it with her jowls. She will attempt to steal food off of counters (A true counter surfer) but immediately backs away when told to. She sleeps in an extra large crate (which will be provided) at night and whenever people are not home with her. The crate comes with a tear resistant bed. She eats Kirkland (Costco) food.
