Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!   This gentle giant is Ivy. We are looking for an adopter experienced with Great Danes! In typical Dane fashion, Ivy is timid upon first introduction to new people. With some patience, she will warm up and learn to trust you. Ivy's both dog and cat friendly! About 80% of the time, Ivy is content just lounging around chewing on her favorite bone. The other 20% of the time, she has the zoomies (which is quite comical given her size) and wants to go for a leashed walk or jog.  You can adopt Ivy with peace of mind knowing that she has been spayed, has had her stomach tacked (to avoid bloat), is fully vaccinated, has been heartworm tested, and is on prevention. We really don't think you are. Take a look at Ranger! He's a 6 month old Great Dane mix that we took from a crowded shelter in North Carolina. Naturally, we were all swooning for this guy the second we met him. He's just so charming! If it isn't obvious, he's a pretty goofy guy. He is FULL of personality, but is also incredibly smart and is very treat motivated. He knows basic commands. He's friendly with other dogs! He'd do fine with older kids; toddlers he may get a little too excited with and accidentally topple over. He has not been cat tested, though we are happy to do so upon request. Please know that beyond Ranger's beautiful appearance is a puppy that will become a very large adult dog. He will likely require mental stimulation and physical exercise, so do not think you're adopting a couch potato or you'll be sadly mistaken! If you have an active home or plenty of space for Ranger to get outdoors and burn off some energy, don't hesitate to apply!
