Story
Age: 6 years old Gender: Male Breed: Bull Mastiff mix Weight: 84 lbs Personality: Very sweet and cuddly! He is very pleasant to walk if there are no other dogs in the area. He is learning to be more confident and less reactive. Education: Good with bathroom and leash training and is working on leash reactivity Favorite Activities: Tug of war, long night walks, hanging out in the kitchen Looking for: An active family who will love him and play with him! Some patient training will help him be the best boy ever! He will do best as an only dog right now. Hippo likes routine so someone who can create some structure for him would be ideal to help with his anxiety! A family with kids would be good, too - he has been great with kids of all ages, even with toddlers! A home with a backyard in a quiet neighborhood would be great! Special needs: Current medication to help with separation anxiety Prozac (fluoxetine) (~$5.00). Monthly cost depending on where purchased and market value. Adoption Fee: $ 250 ##1733826##

How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by a community member. Why this pet is the one for you:Otis, or Otis Wotis Botis as we affectionately call him, is a sweet pup who came to us without much socialization. Because he is still learning about the world around him, he can take a little time to open up to new people. But with patience and some tasty treats, he will reveal his loving personality and make a wonderful companion. He'll thrive in a calm home where he can feel safe and supported, with someone who will help him build confidence. Otis is currently working on walking on a leash and will need his new family to continue teaching him this skill through positive reinforcement training. He's also known to have big feelings around other dogs, so although he's not a candidate for dog parks or other off-leash venues, we can recommend plenty of other ways to bond with him! If you're ready to open your heart and home to a pup who's ready to make you his whole world, come adopt our sweet, sensitive Otis today! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 67 Age: 1yrs 0mths 2wks
