Choo Choo is ready for you! This handsome 2-year-old cat has been here since November 22, 2024. He has only been here that long because his stay has been a rollercoaster but he`s finally ready for adoption! Choo Choo came to CCHS with what we thought was a back left leg injury but after taking him to the vet and getting a diagnosis, it turned out he had cancer in his knee area on the leg. It was recommended to amputate his leg to save his life, and we did that, but poor Choo Choo had a rough go of it. He had phantom leg pains, would bite and injure his leg area and he had to live in a cone for quite a while. He was not happy about his new situation, but time has shown him, he`s ok. Choo Choo is a sweet cat. He can be a great lap cat and be cuddly but he`s also that cat who when he says he`s done with attention time, he`s done, and he can get sassy. We just leave him alone and he`s fine. His fondness for other animals is lacking and he would prefer to be an only pet. We also believe he would love to live in a kid free zone because he`s not tolerant at times and adults can understand to leave him alone and give him his free time and space. Choo Choo LOVES to be pet between his eyes. This is his favorite spot for attention. You may have noticed his beautiful coloring and folded ear. He`s so unique! We have grown very fond of Choo Choo through nursing him back to health and we can`t wait for him to score a home of his own.
