Story
This is Duke! His birthday is September 16th 2023. We tried crate training him for while we were at work but he got out every time so now we leave him in the back yard while we’re out. He is very high energy and we just don’t have the schedule to support him and we have a baby at home. This just isn’t a great fit. He should have a dog run and plenty of property to run and dig. He is still a very cuddly guy though!

These pups are in Bothell, Washington too!

Story
Animal Profile: Sanji is an estimated 1-2 year old 40-50 lbs "Texas Brown Dog" -- likely a mix of several different breeds such as Aussie, Catahoula, Lab and Shepherd. He has a naturally cropped tail and a dappled coat. The shelter reports that Sanji is goofy, friendly, and loves to play with dogs. He seeks human attention and enjoys receiving attention, and has a signature -- run over and flop -- move for attention. Sanji can't wait to meet his forever family this new year! We will share more info as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Update: Coming Soon! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Sanji will be arriving from Freer Animal Shelter via K9 transport on 1/13/2025. He will be in foster care in the Seattle area and available for adoption soon!January 30, 2025, 11:42 am

Story
Animal Profile: Bear (BooBoo) is a 4 month old Border Collie X puppy who will be joining us on 01/12/2025 via our TX partner Saving Shelter Strays. He s  a sweet puppy who is well socialized and being fostered in a home with two adult dogs.He is playful, snuggly and sweet.  Foster Update:  Bear (Boo-Boo) is doing really well in his foster home! He has lots of puppy energy and loves to play. He gets along with dogs of all sizes and people. He is fearless and confident and even loves playing with my brothers 70lb shepherd! He is still a puppy so loves to chew but bones, playing and training helps tire him out. He is crate trained, walks well on a leash and is picking up potty training as long as on a consistent schedule. He is so smart and has been so fun to train! He already knows sit, stay, down, place, heel and waiting at thresholds.  He can be a bit vocal when he wants attention or is bored. We are working on correcting that behavior and learning to be calm. He would do well with an active family who can continue his training! I would think he would even do well in agility classes or some sort of active dog sport! We are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard, we are not considering apartments at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.February 28, 2025, 8:06 pm

Story
Wrenly is a social ,extremely smart, active and athletic gal. She’s amazing when she gets plenty of exercise and her mind is put to work but can be a bit much when living a lazy life. So she is definitely best suited for an active family. She has a natural desire to herd but isn’t aggressive with other animals. She’s been raised and interacts well with all the cats, dogs, horses, sheep and kids in her foster home. This delightful would be a great addition to a farm, ranch, runners or maybe even as an agility partner.
