Story
Saint is a 2 year old Labrador retriever/ Australian Shepherd mix who found himself in a Louisiana shelter after being seized from a cruelty case in November 2023. Set to be euthanized, ASF rescued him in the final hour. While Saint does not have the typical looks of an Aussie, he certainly shares the typical Aussie energy, herding instincts, and affectionate disposition. Also, the signature chilling blue eyes. Unfortunately, Saint also had heart worm disease. After several months of medical care and strict crate rest Saint is ready to find his forever home! Saint’s current foster family, located in Pittsburgh, Pa, adores him. He is super cuddly and loves to play with his foster brother. Saint is house trained, crate trained, and must be in a cat free home. Saint can’t wait to meet you! If Saint sounds perfect for you, please fill out the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Springboro, PA Meet Butters! He is an 2 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs around 55 lbs. He isn’t neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, or on heartworm prevention. Butters is fearful of strangers! No younger children, due to his reactivity! He hasn’t been tested around older children. He is good with cats, farm animals, and dogs! Butters is housebroken and crate-trained. He was originally found as a stray, but his owner was never found. The current owner is surrendering him because he resource guards her. She has a young child of her own and there are other young children that visit, so she doesn’t want them to get hurt. He needs to go by 10/13! If you think you can provide a great home for Butters, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Butters. Owner’s Contact Information: Tonia at tonia@pinehollowvet.com

Story
Please meet Jax -- a 6-year old Border Collie who was relinquished by his owner to the Long Run Pet Hospital in Wheeling, WV.  Jax loves to play with all kinds of toys. He does well on a leash and although housebroken, he might need a refresher course since he has been living at the vet clinic for over a year. Jax is very courteous at mealtime and will wait by his food bowl until given permission to eat. He knows many commands and loves to follow and please his humans. He gets along well with other dogs, does well with cats and kids of any age.  Jax is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations. All he needs now is a permanent home to call his own. Jax is a courtesy post; please contact Dr. Pam Harrold at the Long Run Pet Hospital at 304-232-2605 for more information or to meet Jax.December 20, 2024, 11:30 am
