Koda and Coco have to be homed together. Introducing Koda: A High-Energy, Playful Australian Shepherd Mix Seeking an Active HomeMeet Koda, a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a heart full of energy and a playful spirit! Koda may start off a little nervous, but with patience and understanding, he’ll quickly show you his fun, loving side. He’s a high-energy dog who loves to play and needs an active family who can keep up with his excitement. Whether it’s a run, hike, or an intense game of fetch, Koda is always ready for his next adventure!Though he has a lot of love to give, Koda will need some basic training and guidance, particularly when it comes to food-related behavior. He’s still working on overcoming some nervousness, but with time and consistency, Koda will thrive in a structured, supportive environment.Training & Behavior Needs:Basic Commands: Koda is a smart boy who is eager to learn but will need some guidance on basic manners and commands. He’s a quick learner but will benefit from ongoing training to improve his behavior, especially when it comes to self-control in exciting situations.Resource Guarding: Koda does tend to resource guard his food, which means he can be protective of his meals or treats. His new family should be prepared to work with him on this behavior and feed him separately from other pets to ensure a calm, safe environment during mealtime.Channeling His Energy: Koda has a lot of energy and requires both physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy. A strict enrichment schedule will be essential to keep him from becoming bored or anxious. This includes daily exercise (long walks, runs, or playtime), interactive toys, puzzle feeders, and regular training sessions to engage his mind. An enrichment schedule will help Koda focus and burn off energy in a productive way, preventing any unwanted behavior.Excitable Nature: Koda is very excitable and can get overwhelmed easily, especially in new or busy environments. He will need an experienced owner who can help him stay calm and focused and guide him through his excitement.Other Pets: Koda has a strong pack mentality, which means he loves having companionship, but he doesn’t get along with other dogs. While he and another dog named Koda can go home together, they are not bonded and should be fed separately. He is best suited to a home where he is the only dog, as he can get too exci
