He loves to play fetch (especially if the ball has a squeaker!) and tug of war. He’s loves his daily naps but when it’s play time or treats are involved he’ll get the excited shakes. He’s extremely smart and loves to learn new tricks and games. He is great with kids of all ages and is a perfect walker on a leash. He's really an easy and super chill guy! He’s good with other dogs with gentle and gradual introductions.  Approximate Birthdate:  Apr 2017 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial . Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.   For more information please fill out an APPLICATION Please visit our EVENTS PAGE for information about our upcoming adoption events. Story
Hi friends! My name is Willy. I'm a border collie mix of sorts and quite handsome if I do say so myself. I'm a bit of a special dog, a real shy guy, but if someone would just give me a chance I will make a great companion. I love other dogs, as long as they're friendly, and I absolutely must go to a home with another friendly dog or two to show me I'm in a safe place. We all need some reassurance sometimes, right? I also need a fenced yard. Whoever my new owner is will need to be able to give me lots of time and space to feel comfortable with them. I'm a really good boy, I'm crate trained and house broken, but until I get used to you I'm gonna need you to keep your paws to yourself. I promise it's not personal, and you'll see I'm worth the wait! Willy is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He's located at The Pet Connection Sanctuary in Beloit, KS, but transportation to the right home may be available. This tall, handsome, affectionate fellow with dreamy amber eyes is a 6-month-old, 25-lb Heeler mix. Creek loves people and dogs. He is smart, curious, and very treat-motivated; with that combo, the sky is the limit on what he can learn. He learned to sit in just one day, and is making good progress on potty-training despite being hampered by a foster mom who hasn't quite caught on to his routine yet. An active person/family who can give him the time and attention to be all he can be--and another dog to play with--would be his ideal home.  Approximate Birthdate:  May 2024 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.
