He is very smart, eager to learn, and also gentle. He is trained to use hand signals, and already knows "sit" and "down". He would love a family who will throw the ball for him and another canine sibling or regular opportunities to socialize with other dogs.Pepper Jack is good with dogs after a polite introduction to them. Once he meets a dog, he plays really well with them. He has ignored indoor cats and enjoys his visits with kids 5-17 so far. They all love him and the feeling is mutual!Pepper Jack is fully house and crate trained. He sleeps soundly in his crate overnight and happily enjoys a tasty treat when he is crated during the day. As he is deaf, he may alert with a bark, but only when he needs to tell his human something. He would likely do well as a WFH companion as he’s calm at home and content to relax during the day after playtime or a walk. He also walks well on a leash.Pepper Jack is a wonderful dog who deserves a loving family of his own. He will be missed greatly at his foster home and will make a fabulous companion! For more resources on adopting deaf dogs, please check out deafdogsrock.com and we’d be happy to answer any questions you might have! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted.
