Story
Meet 1 year-old handsome Nathan! This sweet 46 pound boy came in as a stray to Oakland animal services were sadly he ran out of time and hope. With Shelter being max capacity and too many dogs a shy dog will just fall between the cracks. This sweet boy locked confidence at the shelter. He was shut down and terrified. Ever since getting into Foster he is now blossoming, happy and we know he has such a great personality. Just waiting to shine. He’s very dog friendly, both big and small and would thrive most in a home as a second dog where he had a companion and a confident leader. he loves to romp and play and is food motivated. He doesn’t appear to have any formal training and he’s only about two years young. Our best guess is that he is a border collie terrier mix is the perfect size and age for someone willing to train, commit to continued socialization and eager to see his success. he has an amazing Foster family who is working on all basic skills daily. Story
Steel is a stunning chocolate and white Australian Shepherd mix, about three years old and 55 pounds of pure potential. This handsome boy is looking for a special home that understands his shy nature and can give him the patience and love he needs to truly thrive. Steel is dog and cat friendly and would do best in a home with a confident dog sibling to show him the ropes. After arriving at a Central Valley shelter as a stray, he was terrified and completely shut down. But thanks to the dedication of shelter staff, he slowly started to come out of his shell—and now, he’s ready to take the next step toward finding his forever family. True to his Aussie roots, Steel is a highly intelligent dog who will do best in an active home where he can use both his body and mind. He would make an incredible trail dog and a devoted adventure partner for someone willing to build his confidence. Once he bonds, he will be the most loyal and faithful companion. Steel is already fully vetted and making great progress with house and crate training. Now, all he needs is a loving home to help him continue his journey.
