Story
Hello, my name is Charlie, I am approximately a year and a month old. I love to play with other doggies, and my favorite thing is to run around. I prefer a home with a big yard. I know how to listen, and I am very energetic. I am not picky with food. My favorite thing to do is cuddle in the bed, it’s so comfy! I do not like being left alone, I have separation anxiety, I also do not like being left in a kennel that is covered, my past owner traumatized me, and I cannot be in confined spaces. I may seem very shy at first, but I sure have a lot of loves to give. I hope I get to find myself a beautiful family with a big yard, since at this home is not as big and I have now learned to jump the fence, so I am always running away, but I always come back. I just don’t want to get hurt. Thank you.

Story
Adoption fee fully sponsored by Golden Valley Bank Ranger is a 1-year-old shepherd mix who came to us after the Park Fire. Adopting a fire survivor dog is not just about giving them a home; it's about giving them a second chance at life. He is currently on heartworm treatment and is looking for a calm home to relax in while he heals. All animals adopted from Butte Humane Society are evaluated by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered, provided with vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and have received heartworm, flea/tick preventatives prior to adoption. If adoption isn’t an option right now, please consider helping us with the costs of care. We are accepting donations of food, supplies, and funds to support the care of these dogs during this transition period. Donations can be made in person at our facility or online at Buttehumane.org/donate. We also welcome you to join Butte Humane Society as a volunteer or foster parent. More information can be found at Buttehumane.org.
