You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Introducing Olivander, a charming older gentleman who’s a perfect mix of dignity, sweetness, and just the right amount of spunk! This unique chihuahua mix, with his petite frame and mini-corgi looks, has been on quite the journey and is now ready to settle into his forever home. Olivander is the type of dog who captures hearts instantly, with his soulful eyes and gentle spirit. He’s happiest when he’s surrounded by soft toys and the company of his humans, whom he adores more than anything. Olivander has a soft spot for children. He lights up when they’re around, bringing them toys as if to say, “Let’s play!” He sees kids as the most delightful companions and loves to curl up beside them, offering his snuggles and his calm, loving presence. With his soft toy collection in tow, he’s always eager to entertain and bring a little joy to the little ones in his life. He’s incredibly gentle and knows just how to win their hearts, quickly becoming a cherished friend and a gentle playmate. Olivander also shares his home with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, and he’s perfectly polite around them. He’s quite happy to coexist but doesn’t feel the need to join in when they’re having a raucous play session, especially the younger pups, who sometimes bring an extra level of chaos to the mix! Olivander prefers his own company or, better yet, the company of his humans, and would be equally content as an only dog. If he does share a home with other pups, his ideal companions are respectful dogs who don’t expect him to play but appreciate a peaceful coexistence. When the weather turns chilly, he’s happy to cuddle up with his canine friends for warmth.  This little guy’s journey has also included a unique medical adventure that adds to his charm and resilience. Olivander  once developed a fistula, creating an unusual opening between his mouth and sinuses. In a memorable moment that showcases his quirky life story, he even sneezed out a tooth! But thanks to Underdog Rescue’s commitment to the health of the dogs, Olivander’s dental issues have been managed with the utmost care, and his mouth is now in excellent shape. He’s ready to enjoy every moment of playtime, cuddling, and soft treats without any worries. Olivander has a lovely, balanced personality that combines independence with affection. He’s not the type to demand constant attention, but he’s always thrilled to be nearby, basking in the presence of his humans. In the evenings, he’s at his most content, finding a cozy spot on the couch or snuggling in a warm bed, especially if there’s a blanket he can burrow into. His calm nature makes him an ideal companion for someone who enjoys quiet, cozy moments. When he’s had his playtime and affection, he’s perfectly happy to lie by your side, offering a soothing, comforting presence that only a dog like Olivander can provide. For those who are looking for a loyal companion without the high-energy demands of a younger dog, Olivander  could be a perfect match. His gentle spirit, combined with his love for children and his polite coexistence with other dogs, make him a wonderful choice for families or individuals alike. He’s the type of dog who would thrive in a calm, loving environment where he can soak up all the love and attention he deserves. Whether he’s proudly carrying his plush toys around, snuggling with the kids, or quietly snoozing beside you, Olivander has a special way of bringing warmth, love, and joy to everyone around him. Now, Olivander is patiently waiting for his forever family—a home that understands his need for a bit of independence, his fondness for soft toys, and his love of cozy snuggles. Could this sweet, resilient boy be the perfect companion you’ve been searching for? Olivander  is ready to share his heart, his gentle spirit, and all the warmth he has to offer with a family who’ll love him just as much as he loves them. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi, I’m Sherry! I’m a 2-year-old, 21-pound Corgi with a timid but curious personality. I’m still getting the hang of the big world, but every day I’m learning more about how to be a confident and happy pup. My foster family says I’m incredibly smart and the sweetest little goofball you’ll ever meet. At home, I’m pretty calm and laid-back. I love starting my day with some morning head scratches—my little nub tail wags with excitement! But once I’ve had enough pets, I’ll politely but firmly remind you that it’s breakfast time. Afterward, I’m all about lounging in my crate or on the couch, keeping an eye on the neighborhood, and napping in the coziest spots I can find. Cheese is my absolute favorite thing in the world. I’m not super into toys, but if you’ve got a tiny piece of cheese, I’ll happily jump on your lap for it! While I’m a bit hesitant about loud noises and sudden movements, I’m a fast learner and already making big strides in my leash training and confidence. My foster family says my silly side is starting to peek through, especially when I do my post-poop kicks—they think it’s hilarious! I get along well with cats (I’m always respectful) and can warm up to other dogs, though I tend to feel more comfortable with smaller ones. Having another dog in the house would be great, as they can help show me the ropes and boost my confidence. I’m fully potty trained and excellent on a routine. I’m also crate trained and find my crate to be a nice, safe place to relax. I don’t bark, so I’d be a quiet companion, perfect for a peaceful household. Underneath my cautious exterior, there’s a silly and loving pup ready to shine. If you’re patient, gentle, and have another dog to help guide me, I’ll be the most loyal and sweet addition to your home. I can’t wait to find my forever family—could it be you? *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Happy Holidays to all my potential adopters.  This will be my first holiday season in a warm home with plentiful food and love since I was abandoned at a senior living community on the Pine Ridge reservation in SD. I’m a young, playful, and happy girl that gets a second chance at happiness. My foster family believes I’m between 10-12 months old.  I seem to be a Bassett/cattle dog/shepherdy mix.  I’m a very happy and friendly gal.  My favorite things are treats, walks and playtime.  I’m food motivated which makes training easier.   I really enjoy going for my daily walks.  I do great on leash, especially since I’ve had little exposure to being on leash.   I also love romping around the yard with my foster canine siblings.  I tend to play a little on the rough side, so future potential canines need to tolerant of my play style.  I also live with cats currently.  I’m curious and want them to play with me, but I don’t always understand or respect their wishes.  So I would ask for a dog savvy feline, please.Things I’m currently working on are potty training, and my mouthiness.  Like I said, I’ve had little to no exposure to living and a home and I don’t know all the rules of this lifestyle.  I’m on a strict potty schedule and doing well.  I do keep my kennel clean and dry all night and day while my foster family is working.  My other behavior I’m working on is mouthiness.  My future family needs to know and understand how to redirect my attention with toys, training, and/or a flirt stick.  Also if my future my family has children,  older children would be best for me.I will be a wonderful addition to the person(s) that can keep continuing my training with love and patience. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2224750##
