Story
If snuggling were a competitive sport, Randie wouldn’t just take home the gold—he’d insist on being carried onto the podium, tucked safely in your arms. This 6ish-month-old Cockapoo is the definition of a Velcro dog, happiest when he’s pressed as close to his favorite person as possible—preferably on their lap, where the world feels safe and secure.Randie is an incredibly sweet and timid little guy who looks to his humans for comfort and reassurance. New situations and loud noises can be overwhelming for him, so he needs a patient adopter who will help him build confidence at his own pace. He’s still learning to navigate life around other pets—while he’s curious about cats, he’s realizing they have rules (and claws!), and with dogs, he prefers those who are calm and non-threatening. A neutral, confident dog might help him come out of his shell, but he’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only.Housebroken and crate trained (though he might voice his objections at first), Randie is a smart pup who’s already working on “sit,” “stay,” and “place.” Because of his shy nature, he’d thrive in a quiet, adult-only home with a single person or a couple who will spoil him with love, security, and endless lap time.If you’re looking for a devoted little shadow who just wants to be near his person, Randie is ready to snuggle his way into your heart. Could you be the one to give this sensitive sweetheart the safe, loving home he deserves? If you`d like to take Randie home, please fill out an adoption application on AARF’s website – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application! Randie’s adoption fee is $350. By the time you meet your new furry friend, they’ll already be spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate), microchipped, and thoroughly checked by a veterinarian. They’ll be up to date on all necessary vaccinations, including rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus). They’ve also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases (4DX) and have started their heartworm and flea prevention meds. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!
