Story
This handsome boy is called Beamer and he is a 3 year old 42 pound Poodle. while he doesn’t have the Poodle cut for his face, we can see from his tail to his body conformation that he is most likely a Standard Poodle.  What you can see immediately about Beamer is that he is happy and has a fabulous smile for everyone.  He ended up in a shelter in Tennessee and they held him for 2 weeks to see who might come forward and no one stepped up.  While he might have been a stray, it has not dimmed his bright personality nor ended his love for giving everyone his electric smile.  He is great with other dogs, has been fully vetted and is healthy.  This boy loves to run and play with other dogs in the fenced play yard and soak up all the attention he can get from the humans he encounters.   This is a rare offering to consider adopting a young, healthy Poodle like this who has a sweet temperament and so well-rounded.  He is good on a leash and pretty much has demonstrated that he is housebroken.  Beamer only wants to bring joy and love to someone and in return receive a place to belong and a family that will cherish him.  If you are a family with a fenced yard, time to train and polish this boy to be the best possible companion you have ever loved in your lifetime of owning a dog.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 21, 2025, 1:52 pm

Story
From Merlin's foster mom: I have had the pleasure of fostering Merlin for several months. He was dumped in a rural area and was hard to catch and scared of everything. I brought him into my house and he stayed inside with outside potty breaks while in my care and NEVER had an accident inside. I became worried about his safety when he escaped my fence one day and would not come back to me. He was sent for 2 weeks inboard training. He caught a chicken the day he got loose but dropped it when I told him to and the chicken was unharmed. Merlin slowly warmed up to me and would try to get in to my lap a lot. He is very loving and sweet. He would be a great walking or jogging companion as he is high energy. He was very submissive to all my other dogs and was tolerant of cats but I never left him alone with the cats. Merlin is very smart and funny and he has a wonderful personality. He is a perfect dog but he needs an adopter with a sense of humor. Merlin "The Magician" makes things disappear! He loves to collect household items...shoes, clothes, spoons, canned goods, measuring tapes...whatever he can get his mouth on. He has great fun swiping things the second you turn around. He has a special place he takes his treasurers and understands you will collect your items back. I imagine this will improve as he grows out of puppyhood and with follow up training. He was started with the basics but will continue to need reinforcement of what he has learned. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Story
Meet Trout, a charming 6-year-old Poodle mix with a heart as big as his 60-pound frame! He wears a long grey coat that will need to be groomed every few months in order to help him maintain his good looks! His personality is a delightful blend of sweet and friendly, with a dash of playful energy that keeps him young at heart. Trout loves to cuddle, and his mellow temperament makes him a perfect companion for quiet evenings at home. Trout is a loyal friend who will always be there to offer comfort and companionship. This lovely boy deserves a forever home where he can continue to share his love and joy! He was surrendered by his owners because they wanted to travel. Trout hopes that whoever adopts him will stay home so he can play with the family and love them, too. Adopt Trout and let his sweet nature fill your life with happiness. Story
Rambo-Poodle/German Shepard male, ~14 mo. (Dec. 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application Rambo came to rescue recently after being evaluated to be a Service Dog. He's been through a Prison Training program and has learned so much. Rambo has been deemed for a pet/companion home. The trainer says he has a good temperament and made so many good strides, having had a rough start in life. He is house trained and crate trained, having lived in an apartment at the prison, with his inmate trainer. He's had basic obedience. He learned about grooming and good husbandry skills. Rambo is good with other dogs. He has not met cats, but doesn't have the personality to bother them. He has not lived with children due to being in the Prison Program but with his great personality, seems to have alot of potential as a family dog. He is a medium/large, and will enjoy an active life. Rambo's adoption fee is $600 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.
