Story
Meet Falkor !! Have you always wanted to raise your very own luck dragon?!! Well here’s your chance! This giant puppy is super sweet and ready for all the love and adventures. Falkor is an approx 3 month old, male. He appears to be a Poodle and Pyrenees mix. Yup, someone doodled a Pyrenees…. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️ He already weighs 24 pounds. He is going to be a very big boy!! He will be neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped as part of his adoption. He is thankfully Heartworm negative and on preventatives. “Doodles” ARE NOT HYPOALLERGENIC!! This is a common misconception with the doodle craze. They generally have a mixed hair type of both parents. Sadly many lose their homes when despite they claims, they are allergic to them. They are a mix breed and carry genetics from both parents. He does not shed as much as a regular dog but he does still shed. Falkor is a fun loving boy. He’s always ready to frolic around and have a good time. He loves everyone. A very happy sweet personality. He absolutely adores water. Drinking it, playing in it, just loves it. He also loves toys and playing in general. He is doing well with his house manners and training for his age. He has been really good with his potty training. He does need to be let out frequently to be successful with it. He’s great in the car. He does need work on leash training he’s not very familiar with it. He is crate trained but can be very vocal still when he wants out. Falkor does great with other dogs. He absolutely loves to run and play. He’s been around dogs of all sizes and does great. He’s never been around cats so we aren’t sure how he would do. He isn’t fostered with kids but he’s done great with all the kids he’s met. He’s young enough to adjust to new things and different types of homes. He may accidentally knock kids over or jump on them but he’s not aggressive at all. Falkor has a medium energy level so far. He really needs to run and play each day. He’s great about relaxing after but really needs that energy release first. When dogs don’t have their exercise needs met they become pent up and display negative behaviors. To be his best self he needs a family willing to provide mental and physical exercise every day. He has not had any issues sharing food, toys or treats with humans or other dogs. We haven’t seen any aggressive behaviors at all from him. He’s very loving and sweet. Falkor has a lot of potential. He’s going to be a very large dog so early training is crucial. Having an untrained giant dog isn’t fun. If you’re willing to put in the effort to train him now you’ll have a well behaved big fluffy boy to spend your time with. ♦️GROOMING- “Doodles” are a mix of two breeds and despite the hype they generally have hair from both dogs they are bred from. This causes terrible matting and means they require lots of brushing. They also usually need to be professionally groomed at least every 6 weeks. If you aren’t willing to provide the time and finances toward his grooming please pick a different dog to adopt ♦️ Vet and home checks required. Fenced yard preferred Located in Hampton VA. (He will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius) ‼️Please message VillageDogResource@gmail.com directly with questions or to get an application. Story
Meet Talia !! This sweet girl was left at a shelter. We can’t believe someone would give her up!! She’s a happy, bubbly, friendly girl. Talia is a 2 year old female. She is a Poodle mix likely with lab. She currently weights 34 pounds and should be full grown. She will be spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines as part of her adoption. She is heartworm negative and on preventatives. TALIA IS NOT HYPOALLERGENIC. Simply mixing poodle with things does not do that as the doodle trend claims. With that said she does not shed much compared to a regular shepherd. She is a wonderful dog that is stealing hearts every where she goes. She has the cutest little beard and is happy to love on everyone. She’s a very clingy Velcro dog. Overall she has done very well but will definitely need a home willing to give her consistent training, structure, and some good exercise time every day. Talia is doing well with her house manners. She is crate trained but will sometimes bark or whine initially. She settles down quickly though. She pulls a bit on the leash but is overall not bad with it. She is great on car rides and does not get sick. She is doing really well with potty training. She may have a few accidents as she adjusts to a new household routine but she definitely understands the concept and does well with it. She has been good with other dogs. She is great about knowing which dogs want to play and which ones don’t. She loves another active playmate to run around with. She’s been great with kids aside from some hyper jumping up on them. She may knock over little ones but she has shown no aggression and seems to like kids. Talia spent one night with the foster that picked her up from the shelter for us. She has cats and Talia did meet them. She did not try to hurt them but was chasing them around in a playful manner. She would do best either without cats or with a stand your ground cat that wont run from her. It would also require some training from you to teach her how to behave around cats. She has had no trouble sharing food, treats or toys with other dogs or humans. She is learning quickly. She thinks she is a lapdog and loves to get on your lap despite her size. She is a really sweet girl and she loves to play fetch. Talia has a medium to high energy level. She is definitely active and needs a good outlet for her energy every day but has done well being crated during the work day if she gets that. She will be very excited and ready to go when you get home. She loves life and frolicking around the yard. When she gets her energy release, she can relax and be a well behaved girl in the home. Overall this girl is a real gem. She’s extremely sweet and loving with a fun adventurous side. If you’re looking for an awesome family dog then she may be the one. Vet and home checks required. Fenced yard preferred. Located in Hampton VA. (She will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius) ‼️Please message VillageDogResource@gmail.com directly with questions or to get an application For more pics and faster response visit our Facebook page

Story
Much like the musician with the same name, our Jelly Roll swung for the fences with his transformation. Hardly seems like the same dog, but it is.Jelly Roll was found wandering the streets - just a year old, covered with mats and neglected for quite some time.We have found that some dogs who have been abused the most, love the fiercest. And that is Jelly Roll.He sits so politely as he waits for you to notice him. And, when you do, he gets so excited. When you get close enough to him, he has this way of wrapping his front legs around you - and holding on. If you are sitting next to him, he gets right next to you and then links his front legs together around your arm. He doesn't want to be left behind yet again.Despite a shaky start in life, Jelly Roll is happy. He loves to run around and play with toys. He adores watching the other small dogs in his section. And he was enthralled when he got to play with two of them.Jelly Roll is free now - free from the hair and neglect that marked a good part of his first year. And he is ready - ready to live a life that is based on love and care, loyalty and nurturing. If you have an endless amount of compassion for those who are trying to only see the best in us, please come meet our Jelly Roll. He is love and light in the body of an adorable poodle.Animal Aid Society, 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton. Open every day between 9AM and noon, including weekends and holidays.Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.

Story
Hello World! My name is Loveable Louis, and I am a big, fluffy Double Doodle with a giant heart and an even bigger personality. I’m 5 years old and weigh about 85–90 pounds, which basically makes me a professional-sized cuddle buddy. If you like big dogs who think they’re lap dogs… we’re probably going to get along just fine. My hobbies include playing fetch like a champion, following my people around the house, making friends everywhere I go, and of course—snuggling. I’m fantastic with little kids, I’m completely house-trained, and I get along great with other dogs too. My family says you can pretty much take me anywhere because I’m such a well-mannered gentleman.   Now here’s the part of my story that’s a little bittersweet. My family loves me very much, but they are expecting their second baby soon. With two little ones keeping them busy, they worry they won’t be able to give me the attention and time I’ve always had and deserve. They love me enough to want the very best life for me, so they reached out to Critter Cavalry Rescue to help find a home that has been hoping for a truly exceptional Doodle. And guess what? That exceptional Doodle would be ME. I’m ready to be someone’s loyal sidekick—your fetch partner, your adventure buddy, your couch companion, and the dog who greets you like you’re the most important person in the world.   If you’ve been looking for a big-hearted, well-mannered, fun-loving Doodle to share life with, I might just be your guy. Send an email to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask about Loveable Louis! Trust me… life is better with a Louis in it.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 18, 2026, 11:42 am
