Story
JJ is a sweet, almost 5-year-old poodle who’s looking for a new home where he can keep spreading love and joy. He’s got the biggest heart and a gentle nature, especially around kids—he’s patient and so good at making them laugh. JJ loves being part of the family, whether he's playing, exploring, or just curling up beside you. He’s a total cuddle bug who thrives on attention and loves a good scratch on the head. While he’s not neutered, he can’t have puppies. We want him to find a home where he’ll get as much love as he gives because he has so much to share.

Story
This handsome Standard Poodle  is a rare offering due to his extreme calm gentile personality and medium energythat is complimented by  his endearing personality of love. Our boy's name is BJ and he is 4 to 5 years old and weighs 50 lb. This loving boy was found running has a stray and very very thin and very very matted. He ended up in a super small town shelter in a super small cage. We got him out because we saw such potential in him and such a need for a true second chance. We shaved him down, we got him neutered and fully vetted and also fixed his eyelids that were having the eyelashes grow inward. It's called entropion eyelid surgery and it was truly what he needed to have a comfortable life. He is healed up and he is ready to be your very own heartthrob. He is housebroken, crate train, good on a leash, fabulous with cats and other dogs. This boy is such a good catch for a Doodle. None of the typical problems of no manners and wild and wide open with energy. He is totally the opposite. Only wants to do is be your shadow, be your devoted companion and have a part of your life and your heart. If you are interested in BJ becoming the best doodle you could ever adopt please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com He's currently in Nashville Tennessee where we are based and we transport weekends to the Northeast corridor of states. He is ready to travel on October 18th   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
Meet Billy the Kid !! Him and his two brothers are part of our Outlaw Litter. They are some of the sweetest dogs we’ve taken in!! Really amazing dogs. (His brothers are posted separately) As a rescue we would like to politely request that breeders stop “doodling” everything 😫 These sweet dogs are overbred for profit but end up almost dying in shelters way too often. Billy is an approx 3 year old, male Basset Hound and Poodle mix. He weighs 43 pounds. He is low, long and solid. He’s foster is a groomer so you can see his adorable hair cut pics vs his natural scruffy look. “Doodles” ARE NOT HYPOALLERGENIC!! This is a common misconception with the doodle craze. They generally have a mixed hair type of both parents. He will be neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped as part of his adoption. He is thankfully Heartworm negative. Billy is an awesome family dog. He has a sweet and loving personality. He’s a very good boy. He loves attention. He takes a little time to fully trust you and be comfortable and then he can be a bit clingy and needy lol. He will follow you everywhere after a day or two and loves to sleep in bed with you. He is fairly easy to have around the house. He still has a few things to learn. Billy does great with other dogs of all sizes. He has not been fostered with cats so we aren’t sure how he would go. His brother is fine with them so he may be also. He has not been fostered with kids. We think he would do great with them if they are old enough to give him some space the first few days and not treat him like a toy. He rides well in the car. He loves walks and does well on the leash. He’s done fabulous with his potty training however, he still needs to be neutered and does lift his leg and mark on things at first. Hopefully this behavior will fade after his neuter. So far we have seen no issues with him sharing food, treats or toys with humans or other dogs. He really hates his crate. He is very whiny in there and has recently figured out how to break out of them. He has not done anything wrong in the home when left out so far. He seems to have a bit of separation anxiety but does very well with someone that is home more often. Billy has a lower to medium energy level so far. He loves to run in the yard and will play with others but isn’t overwhelming with his exercise needs. As long as he gets some exercise each days he’s very relaxed. He mostly loves to cuddle and snuggle. His foster had this to say about him: “ he’s the best cuddle buddy and will love you so much once he trusts you. He follows me around everywhere” Overall he’s a really good boy that is ready for his new family to love. Vet and home checks required. No Apartments- He can be vocal when left alone Located in Hampton VA. (He will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius) ‼️Please message VillageDogResource@gmail.com or message the Facebook Page directly with questions or to get an application.‼️

Story
Charlie was given to me two years ago as a Christmas gift from my parents. Unfortunately, my mom developed a severe allergie to dogs to the point that Charlie cannot roam freely around the house and has been restricted to certain areas. Since Charlie is rather large, weighing about 54 lbs and about 4’11 in length, it is hard to keep him in one room, not to mention unfair to him considering his breed is known for their active and curious nature. This is why I am actively seeking a new home for Charlie. Now, at age 2, Charlie is exactly the same as he was during his puppy days (personality-wise). He is extremely playful and so sweet. He is so gentle that he will let a person or another dog reach into his food bowl while he is eating. Also, he loves to stare into your eyes as he hugs you and is very affectionate toward babies/other animals. I must note, that Charlie does not seem to fully realize his size as he does jump when he gets excited. Overall, Charlie is an amazing dog.
