Meet Ritz, the Adorable Poodle Mix girl!
Are you ready to add a bundle of joy and laughter to your home? Meet Ritz, our one-year-old poodle mix, who is ready to find her forever family!
Ritz is crate-trained and has good potty manners. This affectionate, confident, and cuddly girl loves people and absolutely ADORES other pups. Her curious and eager-to-please nature makes her a joy to be around.
As a young and energetic gal, Ritz needs an owner committed to providing her with plenty of exercise to help her burn off her puppy energy, as well as another resident pup to play with. A home with a fenced-in yard and a canine playmate would be perfect for keeping her entertained. Ritz thrives on positive reinforcement training and will need a family to continue guiding her as she grows. Due to her goofy bouncy nature and tendency for vertical greetings, we prefer a home for her with dog-savvy kids that won’t be easily knocked down.
Ritz is a happy-go-lucky, silly, and goofy girl who just wants to have fun! Her hilarious antics and solo zoomies in the yard will have you laughing and smiling in no time. Ritz loves intensely, and it’s impossible not to return that love when you see her beautiful, loving eyes. At Green Dogs Unleashed (GDU), we are committed to ensuring the successful placement of our dogs in loving, permanent homes. Over the years, we have seen an unprecedented number of returns due to behavioral issues that could have been avoided with the right support. A high percentage of these returns come from out-of-area clients or those who have not completed training with us at GDU. To address this, positive reinforcement training with Green Dogs Unleashed is required for all adoptions as a condition for adoption approval.
This pup may need some extra time before being ready for extended in-person or group training. As such, we are happy to consider adopters either in the area or out of the area who will commit to attending one private lesson with GDU, either virtually or in person, as a condition of adoption approval.

We are happy to consider applicants from out of state on most dogs. Please read the description to see if this dog is an exception. If the applicant is approved to adopt, they MUST be willing to come to our location in Troy, VA, for a meet and greet. If all parties agree that the pup and family are a good fit, they would take the pup home at that time.

GDU does ask a minimum adoption fee of $400.00. This does not even come close to covering all expenses created by animals while in rescue. We are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum fee includes DAPP, rabies if age appropriate,, heartworm test and preventative, if age appropriate, and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying, if the animal is medically sound to undergo surgery. In an attempt to avoid tummy upset from a sudden change of food, the foster family may include a small, transitional bag of the food the dog/puppy has been eating. And if the dog/puppy has grown attached to a special item (like a toy or blanket), they may send that along, as well.
