A person went to buy roosters off Facebook marketplace, and found her and a chihuahua (BonBon) living in the chicken coops. Poor babies! Thankfully the owners let them go, and they are now with our rescue. Shiadanni is a gorgeous 10 year old, 10lb Poodle. This girl is SO sweet and isn’t she just the cutest? Shiadanni resides with other dogs and does well with them. Shiadanni loves meeting new people and is sure to win over your heart with her happy go lucky personality!She prances, she dances, she plays with other dogs, and she loves attention. Understandably, she's working on potty training, and she absolutely HATES being contained or crated. She will bark in a panic until she is out free roaming again, so potential adopters need to be aware of that. Otherwise, this glam gal is looking for a forever home! This little girl was set to be euthanized after being diagnosed with diabetes, a totally manageable disease that just requires patience and understanding. Giselle receives an insulin injection twice a day and is a total champ - she doesn't even notice the tiny needle! Giselle is blind but that doesn't slow her down from mingling with other dogs and cats - she is a total sweetheart and would do best with other chill dogs in the home. So sometimes we adopt a dog to play fetch with, to take on walks, to become trick champions, or to cuddle on the couch .... but sometimes there is a dog that needs someone to adopt him just because he needs a loving home even if he doesn't have a lot of tangible things to offer. Well, that dog is Humphrey. This guy has been through a lot - he was seized on a cruelty charge and turned over to our rescue group. He came to us severely matted with major wounds on his body especially his neck. He has had surgery and the outward scars are healing. But mentally his life has taken a toll - he has doggie dementia and basically he acts "lost in space" sometimes. He is also wobbly on his feet but he can walk and enjoys exploring. He would be a great candidate to go on adventures in a stroller :)He is sweet and appreciates when someone shows him kindness and gentleness. He is a mellow guy that just wants an easy going retirement home. He enjoys being petted and can be picked up though it is too soon to tell if he likes cuddling. Humphrey needs a calm, peaceful home without children due to his health. He likely won't alert you that he needs to go potty but if you take him outside, he will usually go. He is also currently being trained on a puppy pad. He is fine with cats - just ignores. Also seems to ignore dogs, but it might be a concern to have him with active dogs because he is not able to give appropriate doggy signals when he is having one of his spells and can't move quickly. He likes eating and getting special treats! His favorite activity is nap time!! He will make you slow down and appreciate the little things in life! He is senior (10+ years) and weighs 14 pounds. So can you be a hero to Humphrey? We adopted her at 5 weeks old in Montgomery, TX. She was born with worms but has since been treated for it and now she is in perfect health. She's a sweet girl and never showed signs of aggression. She gets along with kids, strangers, and other dogs. I started working 6-7 days a week and do not have the time to give her. As much as I want to keep her, I think another family will be able to give her a better home. She turns 1 in a month and is up to date with all her shots. The only problem is she barks a lot when she has to sleep in her crate. Not sure where this behavior came from but she was perfectly crate trained before. She has a lot of energy and I would prefer if she is able to go to a loving family that can provide her with proper enrichment. I prefer if she goes into a home with prior dog experience, a fenced yard, and another (friendly) dog. She grew up with one of our other dogs and loves being around other friendly dogs.

Pua is a sweetie and is very friendly. Pua is approx 3-4 years old, 38lbs. He is extremely shy and takes some time to warm up to people, but given time, he's fine. Pua will need another dog in the home he would do best with female a dog his size or smaller. He does well with children, but doesn't engage much with them. Pua does well walking on a leash and doesn't pull, but does really like to smell all the wonderful outside smells. He's not much of a cuddler, but he loves pets (you can tell by his overly excited waggin tail and body). He's not very treat/food motivated, but he eats well. Unknown how Pua would be with cats, as he's not been exposed to them in his foster home. He's still working on potty training but he's done really well with going potty outside. She is so so sweet and just want love and to run and play. Her paw pads were worn off when found, so had been running the roads for a while. She is likely more a Standard Poodle, as she is much slimmer and built like a Poodle. She is about 3-4 years old. She is fully vetted, spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, hw negative, microchipped and just had dentals. She will need regular grooming to keep from getting matted, please be sure you can afford their upkeep! She is very playful with other dogs their size. NO small dogs or kids under 12 as she loves to jump and would knock over a small child. Needs a large yard or plenty of time walking or at the park, they are very sweet and love attention!
