Story
Thank you for your interest in Mozart. Some dogs get every opportunity. Mozart is not one of them. Despite his sweetness, loyalty, and gentle nature, life has handed this beautiful Standard Poodle the short end of the stick far too many times. He has been owned, surrendered, adopted, returned, adopted again, returned again, transferred to SPIN, moved between fosters, adopted once more — and then returned yet again. Each time, Mozart tried. Each time, he bonded. And each time, humans let him down. When a Quebec shelter reached out for help after his second return, we knew we had to step in. Beneath his stress and confusion, there was a wonderful dog whose emotional needs simply weren’t being met. Once in our care, we discovered he was a purebred Standard Poodle with a heart bigger than his struggles — and a history that finally needed to change. Today, Mozart has been with dedicated, experienced fosters for two months. He is decompressing, learning, and showing us exactly who he is when he feels safe and understood.

Story
Jean-Pierre (JP) is a striking three-year-old Standard Poodle who has made remarkable progress since being found abandoned in Quebec. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was frightened, in pain from an untreated ear infection, and unsure of people. With care, patience, and medical treatment, he started to heal — both physically and emotionally — and showed the sweet, loyal nature that defines him today.

Story
Mags is a young, bright, emotionally big Standard Poodle who has had a busier start to life than most. She grew up in homes that cared about her, but none were quite equipped to manage her energy, her enthusiasm, or her tendency to become overstimulated. After finding herself in a shelter—confused, over-aroused, and unsure how to channel all her excitement—Mags came into SPIN’s care so she could finally get the structure and support she has always needed. She is an affectionate, social girl with a lot of love to give, but she experiences the world at full volume. New places, new people, and outdoor environments can cause her arousal to spike quickly, which leads to jumping, grabbing, and mouthy behaviour. None of this comes from a place of aggression—Mags simply hasn’t been shown how to regulate her emotions.

QUICK FACTS Name: Terry Age: About 4 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Poodle Color: Brown Weight: 4.85kg / 10.7lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a neglected situation back in 2025. Because of that, my back legs developed a curve, but I’ve adapted well and continue to live happily every day. Now I’m safe, full of love, and ready to start a new chapter with a caring forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues Patellar surgery & fully recovered   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Terry, a smart and gentle Poodle with lots of love to give. I’m calm, with a sweet and affectionate personality that shines through once you get to know me. I absolutely love people and enjoy being close to my humans. I do have a tiny bit of jealousy sometimes because I love attention, but overall I’m well-mannered and gentle. I’m intelligent, affectionate, and eager to connect with my person. I’m a dog looking for a family who will understand my need for companionship and help me grow into a confident, secure pup. I promise to return your care with endless love and loyalty.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I might feel a bit shy when we first meet, but if you offer me a yummy treat, I’ll happily take it and warm up to you quickly. Before long, we’ll be friends and you’ll be able to lift me and hold me in your arms and pet me too! I haven’t had the chance to meet children under 13 yet, but with careful introduction, I’m sure I’ll get along great with them. · With Dogs: I like to walk up and say hello to new dogs. I’m friendly and curious, but I like to take things slow at my pace. However, if another dog provokes me, I will stand my ground. A careful introduction to new dogs is recommended. With calm and respectful introductions, I can do well around other friends. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy outdoor activities like walks and exploring, and after some fun outside, I’m happy to settle down and rest quietly at home.I can get pretty excited on walks and may pull on the leash, especially when I want to go in a certain direction. But I do like to follow my person and stay connected. With a little guidance and consistent practice, I can learn great walking manners and become an even better walking buddy!   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food — not from people and not from other dogs. I’m very easygoing at mealtime.I can have some separation anxiety, and I really prefer being close to my people. With time, patience, and a consistent routine, I can learn to feel more secure.Sometimes when I want something — like attention or affection — I might bark to let you know. When I’m in a kennel, I may whine a little, but I’m not loud—I just like knowing you’re nearby. I can use both indoor pee pads and go potty outside, so I can adjust to your routine. In new places, I might feel the urge to mark at first. With guidance, I can learn the house rules.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I can be a little attached, so I might show some signs of separation anxiety—but with enough bonding, consistency, and the right guidance, I can improve a lot. If you give me a stable routine and calm energy, I’ll feel more secure and relaxed. In new places, I might feel the urge to mark at first. With guidance, I can learn the house rules.     Terry's Youtube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2688965##
