Story
Thank you for your interest in Cesar. He is a handsome, three year old standard poodle who is just about as sweet as can be. He is fun and happy and loves to run and when you meet him you'll wonder how he ever landed up in a rescue, but we can tell you more about that. You see, Cesar was in a Quebec shelter. He moves a little bit funny and he sometimes will want to keep items away from you and these things are not great attributes for a shelter dog. The vet assessed him as having mild hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis. Poor boy was set to be euthanized because shelters are full and who would want a broken poodle? We do!!! The shelter called SPIN to ask if we could help and we couldn't say no! He's easy to work with and he's smart so we've been having all kinds of fun with him. We love him and we know you will too.

Some dogs have all the luck. Others don't. That is Temo. Born in a barn and used to produce puppies, this was his fate. And if that wasn't bad enough, Temo has a medical issue that is hereditary so he never should have been used to produce puppies. Thankfully Temo's luck changed. It took a pandemic, but it was Temo's saving grace. Puppies weren't selling and his owner decided Temo wasn't worth feeding anymore. Did we want him? You bet!! We loved Temo from the moment we learned about him and we didn't know anything except that he was a male, adult, standard poodle. Our foster families couldn't wait to meet him!

Story
Valen is a beautiful boy. A gentle soul and a dog who truly needed rescuing. We are here for Valen and now we're looking for his forever champion. Someone who is willing to get to know this sweet dog on his time, letting Valen decide how fast the relationship progresses. You see, Valen came to us afraid of humans; terrified really. Too scared to eat when we're around, shutting even the softest noise or smallest movement, so terrified of human touch that he would urinate as soon as he felt our touch. He'd never lived in a house, known a soft bed, abundant food, clean water. He rehabilitation has been painstakingly slow, requiring hours of patience. But the reward has been great. Just to see any bit of acceptance, maybe even happiness, from Valen is enough to make your heart soar! We're seeing glimpses of a dog who is now recognizing joy and good things in life. Valen is now searching for his forever champion. That person or family who is willing and able to give him the best life he can have. A person, or family who lives in the country, has a fully fenced yard with a fence at least 6 feet tall, who has another dog and who is quiet and gentle. Someone willing to help Valen continue to learn about the big, scary world, but who is also willing to meet him where he is and accept him for who he is. Valen loves to go for walks but only the nature kind as sidewalks and streets are just too intimidating for him right now. SPIN received a call for help with three Standard Poodles whose owner had fallen on hard times and could no longer care for them. We were happy to bring them in, and that's how we met Jersey. From the moment she arrived, we noticed her red, irritated, and flaky skin, along with some hair loss and uneven regrowth. But none of that mattered—we loved her at first sight!

Story
Yeondu is a unique poodle who values interaction with humans. Poodles are generally friendly and social, but yeondu especially prefers interaction with people. Yeondu finds comfort In bonding with people and an environment where he can always be around people would be best suited for him. He has a personality that reacts sensitively to noise, but he is also smart enough to respond immediately to instructions to stop barking which shows his intelligent nature and adaptability to training, Yeondu can get along well with other dogs of similar size but he much prefers the company of humans. Although he plays well with other dogs of similar size, he also shows signs of adjusting to his environment by controlling is own pace in the process. When taking a walk, he may occasionally pull on the leash but this is usually done in a `moment of excitement. Afterwards, he soon calms down and starts walking slowly. This is a natural way for him to release his energy. Yeondu, who is currently 7 years old, is in good health and he recently had teeth cleaning as well. If you have a good understanding of the personality of poodles, then Yeondu would be the perfect dog for you because yeondu is more than just a poodle, he is ready to be a family member. Yeondu can enjoy a happier life through deep bonds with people and will shine even brighter in an environment where he can grow while receiving love and attention.
