Story
Ronnie is as sweet as they come.  He is a 2-3 yr old Poodle mix and around 60 lbs.  He is currently enrolled in our prison training program and will remain at the prison until he is adopted.  He is neutered, wormed, vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped.  This is what his handler has to say-----He is social, always happy, playful and very attentive to everyone around him. He has great manners and loves to play fetch (with humans or dogs).  He ignores all of the cats. Anyone interested in Ronnie should contact us via this listing.  All meet and greets occur at the prison and MUST be scheduled.  Application is also required and if you have other dogs he must meet them during the meet and greet that we set up. **Our application is NOT online and must be requested from our staff or completed in person at the shelter.  Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Story
Q-Tip is a 2-3 year old Poodle mix.  She could have some Great Pyrenees in her BUT she is not a very large dog.  She did arrive in only fair condition including being underweight.  We are working on the weight issue now. Q-Tip is super friendly but is shy at first.  It may take a few moments for her to warm up to new people.  She seems ok around other dogs, keeps her kennel somewhat clean BUT does have accidents on occasion. She walks ok on lead and loves attention once she warms up to you.   Anyone interested in her must meet her, complete an application and if you have other dogs she must meet them before adoption is approved.   ***our application is NOT online---you must obtain it in person.   Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Story
Queen Elizabark is an 8-year old Miniature Poodle weighing 10 pounds. She came to the shelter as a stray so her history is unknown. Don't be fooled by this girls age, Queenie has puppy energy, this little old lady is very spunky! She likes everyone she meets and is quick to stop, drop and roll...over for those belly rubs! She does great on walks and is good on a leash. She loves to be around people, if she's not in your lap she'll be your new shadow, following you everywhere you go! She loves treats and is treat motivated. While in our care she was spayed, mammary mass removal and a dental where done. Puppy pad trained but may need time to learn new surroundings. Get's along with dogs, cats and children. Did well with the groomer. Her adoption fee is $150, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet her, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! Story
Please contact Jetta (Jetta.elliott@att.net) for more information about this pet.Male AussieDoodleGumbo is an energetic boy who very much has Australian Shepherd Characteristics. Gumbo/Beau loves running in my fields, playing hide-and-seek, and going for walks. He has the most gorgeous wavy non-shed coat. He does not seem to shed at all! Super soft and fluffy coat. He is a gorgeous dog. He is going on two years old And would rather be loved on rather than eat sometimes, so I spoil him and hand feed when he’s extra affectionate. he has amazing recall and always circles back to check up on me during our walks. Gumbo/Beau is currently in Arkansas and would be transported to your location through the rescue network transport. There is a Facebook page where you can see hours of videos of this pup so you can get to know him though he’s far away. Story
Meet Brooks! He would like to say a big thank you to Megans Savvy Pet Grooming LLC and Healthy Pets of Lewis Center, Inc. for making him look and feel like a MILLION bucks! Brooks was pulled from a local shelter as a rescue only pup due to his dental needs and a few other concerns with his hind leg. Brooks is a little tripod. He was pretty sore when we got him, but living in a home with soft beds and short walks, he does fantastic! You would hardly know he has a little disability. The team at Healthy Pets took care of his dental needs and Megans Savvy Pets gave him this nice makeover .Brooks is a love bug! He is 8 yrs old and ready for his forever home. He is fine with other dogs, cats and all humans. You can apply to meet Brooks at ricopetrecovery.org!Adoption fee is $200
