We recently rescued Caramel from an owner who was going to surrender him to a Shelter! He is safe with a Long Road Home Foster Mom and has been seen by our Vet who updated all his vaccinations and confirmed he's in great health. He will be scheduled for his neuter procedure soon. We also brought him in for a MUCH needed grooming to get him bathed and all the matted hair removed. He's a new Boy,,,,check out his before and after photos! He's a beautiful 2 year old Poodle mix and may even be a Labradoodle. He's living with a wonderful Foster Family in Glen Cove and they are giving him the love and peaceful home he craves. He's a little shy when he first meets you but warms up and needs a loving adopter who will give him big doses of love, care and affection. He gets along with other dogs and loves his Foster doggie sibling. He needs to put on a few pounds and be in a safe and loving environment. This 40 pound, sweet, good-natured, young boy, will need daily brushing and regular grooming, but most of all he needs a home where he can run and exercise and the time to train with him. Fred ( front ) and Ethel .. were surrendered to SI ACC. Fred is about 2 and Ethel is maybe a year ...she acts like a puppy. They pretty much eat,sleep, and, play together. Fred will sometimes grumble when he wants space from my dogs or sometimes from Ethel.. nothing more than noise, though. They are very sweet and loving pups. Ethel will lay on my head or chest and Fred tries to get as close as possible. They are both desperate for love. This 2-year-old poodle mix has been through a lot, but his heart is as soft as his name! Mashed Potato came to us through a cruelty case, severely matted and in desperate need of care (just look at his before pic!). After an emergency shave and some much-needed love, he’s finally ready for a fresh start in a forever home. Weighing about 12 pounds, this sweet boy is still coming out of his shell, but his affectionate nature is already shining through—he loves to hug his person and soak up all the love he can get. He’s dog and cat friendly, making him a great companion for a gentle home. Because of his past, Mashed Potato may do best in an all-adult home where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace. He’s neutered, heartworm negative, and will be fully vaccinated before adoption. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org.
