Meet Georgie, as you can see in the video, he adores children. Georgie was dumped off in a quiet neighborhood not too far from the rescue. The people who found him brought him to us and he fit right in with all the gang here. He just gets along with everyone so well, dogs, cats, kids, strangers. He's just the perfect little boy. He's a big Ratty (23 lbs) so is probably mixed with something else. Our vet aged him at about 12 months so he's still a pup. he is neutered, microchipped, trained to a doggie door and fully vaccinated. Ready for immediate transport. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $650

She was a rescue dog, kept with her two male siblings and was extremely timid as they bullied her. She’s come out of her shell here with us and my dogs and is doing fantastic. All of my dogs sleep in the room at night so they are house trained. She’s fantastic with kids and cats but a little shy at first. She was not socialized much for her first year of life. Her hair is wary rather curly so she is a no shed dog, but not curly which is good because wary hair does not mat and needs very little Grooming. We are located in Harrison, Arkansas, but the adoption fee does cover the transport to your location. Maggie is a shy, schnoofle, doodle....something poodley. She is a young adult who, although, she lived in a home, was given no love or attention. She wasn't socialized and is afraid of the world, but her foster parents have worked wonders with her. Maggie needs a very patient home, definitely someone who is around more than not. Maggie is very loving and bonds quickly, especially w females. She is fearful of men and that will take a little time to get over, but she will. She has no aggression. She is good with dogs and cats. No young kids because loud noises and quick movement we will frighten her. Let's find this sweetheart a great home.House with a fenced yard, must be able to afford vetting and grooming. Maggie will need time to feel safe with new people, so someone who understands this and will give her the time and patience she needs. She has already come so far in her foster home but it's time Maggie finds her forever home. This handsome poodle mix is approx 3 years and 40 lbs. He was found laying in a ditch unable to move and taken to the local city shelter in Houston TX. His x rays showed that his sacrum had separated from his Lumbar Spine, he also had a bullet in him, but they did not feel that it was affecting his ability to walk, Our orthopedic surgeon said it was an injury that was unable to be repaired. We started him on some physical therapy and after a few days he was able to stand up and while his back legs remained crossed he was able to hop around the yard We started him on a rehab program with the Gulf Coast Physical Therapy and after a few weekly sessions, he is able to run around the yard like the other dogs!! The legs are now uncrossed and he hops with his back legs, he has started to walk at times like a normal dog and we are hoping with some more underwater treadmill sessions that he will continue to improve. He will go out to the yard with the other dogs to urinate etc but at night only he cannot control himself and he sleeps in a crate with a puppy pad or a belly band. He is a sweet boy, he loves to be with people, he gets along with the other rescues but does not like big active dogs and will bark and chase them. We had a special cart made for him so that he can go on long trips around the neighborhood or to the dog park etc.. he still prefers to hop on his own, but it works great for when he gets tired. we do have videos avail for anyone interested in adopting him, he does have some urine staining on his back legs and body and most of it will come out when he gets a bath, but he is not perfect and an owner will need to give him weekly baths. OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with no children under the age of 8, and experienced dog owners only. WE REQUIRE VET RECORDS ON YOUR CURRENT OR PAST DOG FOR OUR REVIEW. RECORDS MUST SHOW THE POTENTIAL ADOPTER AS THE OWNER The total adoption fee of $500 ( and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper and canine influenza, and microchip. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. This handsome Standard Poodle is a rare offering due to his extreme calm gentile personality and medium energythat is complimented by his endearing personality of love. Our boy's name is BJ and he is 4 to 5 years old and weighs 50 lb. This loving boy was found running has a stray and very very thin and very very matted. He ended up in a super small town shelter in a super small cage. We got him out because we saw such potential in him and such a need for a true second chance. We shaved him down, we got him neutered and fully vetted and also fixed his eyelids that were having the eyelashes grow inward. It's called entropion eyelid surgery and it was truly what he needed to have a comfortable life. He is healed up and he is ready to be your very own heartthrob. He is housebroken, crate train, good on a leash, fabulous with cats and other dogs. This boy is such a good catch for a Doodle. None of the typical problems of no manners and wild and wide open with energy. He is totally the opposite. Only wants to do is be your shadow, be your devoted companion and have a part of your life and your heart.
