Story
Archie is the sweetest, most loving, and loyal dog. The greatest dog I have ever been around. He is great with people, kids, and other dogs. He is a F1B Sheepadoodle. 75% poodle and 25% old English dog. He has very curly hair and needs a lot of attention with his fur. He will need to be brushed daily to reduce matting. Doodles typically need to get groomed every 8-10 weeks for upkeep.

Story
Ava is an active and social dog that weighs about 43 lbs. She will be turning 2 years old this December. Ava is dog-friendly, intelligent, and is popular at the dog park and doggy daycare. Ava loves to play with every dog she meets. Therefore, she would do best in a home with another young dog to play with daily. An active family who is home during the day would be great for her. She can get the zoomies if cooped up for long periods of time. She loves pools, lakes, beaches, and hikes; she’d be a great dog for a family that likes to spend time outdoors. She also loves to play tug-of-war (she’ll probably win!) and fetch. Ava is good with kids but because of her love of zoomies and her playful energy, we recommend kids 12 or older. Ava needs a yard that is fenced. She can jump a 4’ fence easily. The times she has gotten out she stays close by and hasn’t run away; she also has good recall. We haven’t tested her with an electric fence but because she’s so intelligent, we do think she’d learn to use one easily. She is housebroken and isn’t crated when left alone; she has free reign of the house and as long as there isn’t a plate of food left out for her to swipe, she’s fine. She doesn’t particularly like crates but has tolerated them in the past. She can sometimes be hesitant around new people at first, particularly adult men, but will warm up to them quickly. She will make a fun, and loving companion, especially if you are looking for an active, playful fun-loving dog! If you’d like to meet her you can apply on our website at  https://luckychancerescue.com/adoption-applicationNovember 21, 2024, 12:15 am

Story
UP-DATE8-25-24 Max no longer wears a belly band, seems completely house and crate trained. He is no longer jumping on us and he is listening better every day. He always sleeps quietly in his crate all night, and if we are gone. He comes out of his crate to go outside so he has a chance to potty and then he likes to come back in. He has not destroyed anything, enjoys his meals and treats, he is very food motivated, which always helps in training. He still has a lot to learn, but he is ready for his forever home and will make a great companion. UPDATE.6-10-2 Max has made great strides since living with us in the house. From never being in a crate to sleeping all night in a crate. He wakes up early, around 6>30 A.M. ready to go out to do his business then come in for breakfast. He has had no accidents in the house, but I do let him out often. He is sweet and loving, wants to be close, in your lap, anywhere close. He is still jumping once in a while but for the most part, he listens when I say NO JUMP and hasn't jumped on me for quite, but I do re-enforce that every time he walks over to me or I let him in. He is good on the grooming table until you get to his feet then he starts resisting, so I just use a scissor on his feet and he is better at that. He loves all my dogs and plays good with them. Max, date of birth, 5-21-2018, is unusually sweet and friendly considering he came from a breeding kennel. He loves to be close and loves attention. He is a bit on the needy side, preferring to be in your lap or laying close by. He isn't a big eater, not food motivated at least not yet. I took him, by request, from an all breed rescuer who bought him at an auction. She just couldn't leave him, so took him, hoping I he could come to my rescue. He is quite beautiful, dark red hair and a good size for a male, not too big, good with my other dogs. Ad Max is doing great with his crate training, starting to go in when I open the door, instead of having to be pushed in, settles down for a nap. I feed my rescue dogs in their crates and he is starting to eat better. He is laying under my computer as I type this, he loves to be close. He loves everyone. Max will make a wonderful companion to an adult or adult couple. He has too much energy to be around children, he is very active and loves to run outside. He is wearing a belly band to assist in his house training. He always does his business outside, but when inside he might lift his leg and I yell his name and say outside to pee and rush him outside. At the door, I remove his belly band before he goes out. Adoption fee $300.00 SERIOUS INQUIRYS ONLY.

Story
Chip, date of birth-11-17-17-A beautiful and sweet pup, smart and loving and playful, loves other dogs and does well with them. He was given up by his owner, no reason given. He is mostly house trained, but I don't trust him completely, so he wears a belly band until I know he is completely house trained. He is also doing great in his crate and has not soiled his belly band for the last two weeks and he is now doing great with his crate training and has never soiled in his crate. He is drop dead gorgeous, pretty good on the grooming table and very interested in everything going on around him. He sleeps quietly in his crate all night. Chip's adoption fee is $400.00 SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY.

Story
The following is told by Molly's foster mom in Jacksonville, Ill. Molly is a 3 year old Standard Poodle. She is spayed, up to date with vaccinations and preventatives. She was groomed for the first time a few weeks ago (this should give you an idea of how neglected she was) and the groomer said she was very well behaved. Her fur is thin and dry but with the right nutrition should regain a healthier looking coat (again, a sign of neglect). Molly is reliably house trained but needs a little work with walking on leash and keeping her cute little nose out of the trash can. Molly is easily frightened and it will take a few days for her to trust her human. But your patience will pay off. She loves being close to her special human (she seems more comfortable with female humans) and loves nothing more than your soft touch, kind words and bedtime snuggles. Molly likes car rides and is food motivated. She would enjoy a nice energetic canine buddy to show her the world is not as scary as she thinks it is. A fenced yard is desirable but she will potty on leash. Little children would be too much for Molly at this time. Adoption fee $400.00 Serious inquireys only.
