Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. It's a lamb!  It’s Yoda!  It's Lally! Many dogs are described as sweet, but seriously...just look at the face-click here. Lally came from TX and is still learning to trust the world around her. She is cautious and nervous meeting new people and figuring out new places, but once she knows you are hers, it's nothing but unconditional love. Her love language is many kisses to your face and sleeping in bed with her people.  She is the best at leaning in for snuggles, pets, and kisses. She may have never learned how to play as she has no interest in toys and is not sure about other dogs. Her favorite part of the day is mealtime. Full butt wiggles and spins indicate just how excited she is. See here how she enjoys getting food from the treat ball. Lally will walk, and does great on a leash, but is most excited when we get back home. She is working on being at home alone and does fine roaming on her own.  As time and her comfort level increase, she will be the best, mellow, easy companion for her quiet, people-around-most-of-the time home. Lally is from Texas. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. Story
Are you looking for a furry friend who is full of love, energy, and intelligence? Look no further! Colt is an adorable 1.5-year-old, 65 pound Aussiedoodle and he's ready to find his forever home. Colt is a bundle of joy and enthusiasm! He loves to play with people and other dogs. He is also a cuddle bug who enjoys snuggling up on the couch after a day of fun. Colt would do best in an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and mental engagement. He gets along well with other dogs and would love a canine sibling to play with. He is great with kids and would make a wonderful family pet. A fenced yard would be a bonus, as he loves to run and explore. He does well with going potty outside as long as he sticks to a schedule. He enjoys car rides. He is kennel trained, so he can be confined for up to 8 or 9 hours while you're away, although he will complain for a few minutes. He can be kenneled at night but he definitely prefers sleeping in a bed with his people. Colt is more than just a pet; he’s a loyal companion who will bring endless love and happiness to your life. His playful spirit and affectionate nature make him the perfect addition to any home!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 28, 2024, 12:54 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bernie was released from a breeder in Minnesota.  He has not experienced a lot...but is learning so very much every single day. He loves other dogs.  Cats and young children are unknown, however he probably would do great with a cat, and kids he always wants to go up to and is very gentle. The quick movements and running and screaming may scare him though. Another dog and a fenced in yard is a must. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. Bernie is crate/ kennel trained and knows that potty is for outside.  He loves to be outside with his playmats.  Jolly Balls of all types are his favorite (the ones with a rope through or the ones with handles).  Inside his favorite toys are stuffies.  He eats very slowly and gets distracted easy which causes him to stop eating, so kenneling while eating is best for him.  He loves to have chewies in his kennel (dentastix/ greenies/ colla chews/ cheek rolls) and he enjoys a stuffed kong every night when he sleeps without a peep inside his crate.  Bernie is an absolute joy to have near and has very soulful eyes.  When he arrived he would not seek people out for pets.  He does now with great joy that the top of his head gets messaged. He is not bothered by shopping carts or fireworks, but is learning every day to trust, and to know that even though things may be unknown or inexperienced, they are not bad. If you have patience and love to give, he will for surely give you love and loyalty right back.  Bernie is searching for the absolute best forever home and if you feel you measure up, please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 25, 2024, 1:05 am

Story
Hi, I'm Mr. Tumnus, but you can call me Twizzle—my friends do! I’m all about the cozy home life, long walks (I’m pretty good on a leash and don’t pull much), and making the occasional doggy friend. I’m working hard on learning to sit for attention and wait my turn, but it’s tough when I’m so excited! I love playing in the yard and can’t get enough of cuddles from my humans. I’m happiest when I’m with my people, and while I’m okay with bigger dogs, I’d rather just chill with my human pals. Honestly, I’d prefer a life of luxury where I don’t have to share all that love and attention with another dog. I’m a pretty enthusiastic guy, and my joy for life is hard to miss (maybe not ideal if you live in an apartment with thin walls). I see the world as one big playground, and I’m on the lookout for a home that loves adventure as much as I do but also gives me the structure and activities I need to keep thriving. Oh, and I’m still getting the hang of this potty training thing. I’m pretty good when someone’s keeping an eye on me, but I need more practice when I’m on my own. With a little patience and time, I know I’ll master it! ##1892153##

Story
Aaron Burr's story is one of love and loss. At 5 years old and 86 pounds, this tall, handsome boy had spent his entire life devoted to one person. But when his beloved owner passed away, Aaron's world was turned upside down. With no family able to take on such a large dog, he found himself in a shelter, confused and heartbroken. In foster care with our rescue partner, Aaron showed his gentle nature. He lived peacefully alongside both a large and a small dog, proving that he’s adaptable and kind. There was even an infant in the home, and Aaron, with his calm demeanor, simply kept to himself. Despite all he’s been through, Aaron remains a smart and good-hearted dog, just waiting for a place to call home. Aaron needs a special foster or forever home—one without small children—where he can have the space and time to heal and find his footing again. The energy level and unpredictabe nature of younger kids seems to make him anxious and he also demonstrates a tendency for "stranger danger" at times. Aaron needs a strong and confident leader (person/people) who he can trust and help him know that he is safe and protected. He’s not asking for much, just a quiet place where he can decompress and settle in, surrounded by patience and love. If you can open your heart and home to Aaron Burr, you’ll be giving this gentle giant the second chance he so desperately deserves. In return, he’ll offer you unwavering loyalty and the kind of love that only comes from a dog who knows the true meaning of loss and is ready to love again. Please consider fostering or adopting Aaron Burr, and help him find the peace and happiness he’s been missing He is available thru our Foster to Adopt program currently as well.  How to Become a Foster - THE RESCUE CREW This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2148129##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi! I'm Cristal! I am a very loving girl that loves to be with my people. When my people come back home after being gone I flop right over onto my back for belly scratches. I am excellent with other dogs and love to wrestle and do zoomies with my foster siblings both inside and outside! I do also know how to relax and am what some would call a professional sun bather. Foster mom says I am always a glass half full kind of gal- always smiling, always ready to please my human. I am fully potty trained and do well in my crate. I do need a little more help on leash training but I am smart so it shouldn't take too much work. I do get a bit carsick so I will need some practice in that department. If you are looking for a pup who will make you the center of the world I am her! I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! P   lease note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
