Story
Maverick is a handsome standard poodle with a heart full of potential, ready to embark on a journey of love and trust. Rescued from a breeding facility, Maverick is learning to embrace life as a cherished pet. Though he’s shy and cautious, his sweet and gentle nature shines through, and he’s making incredible progress each day.
Maverick absolutely adores other dogs and feels most at ease in their company. They’re not just his playmates but his teachers, showing him how to navigate his new world with confidence. For this reason, Maverick would thrive in a home with another dog to guide and comfort him.
Here’s what makes Maverick special:
Crate-trained: Keeps his crate clean and treats it as a safe space.
Dog-loving: Gets along beautifully with every dog he’s met.
A work in progress: He’s still learning house training and leash skills but shows promise with patient guidance.
Maverick needs a family that understands his background and is ready to offer him the time, love, and patience he deserves. In return, you’ll gain a loyal, gentle companion who will blossom before your eyes.
If you’re ready to give Maverick the loving home he needs, he’s eager to meet you and start his new life!
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.
All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown.
