Story
Meet River! She is about 11 months old, 52 lbs, and she likely has some boxer and doodle in her mix! River is one of a large unwanted litter. She is housetrained, working on being more comfortable left home alone and does OK on leash walks. We would recommend that she goes to a home with a fenced-in yard as she feels the safest there. She will need a patient person to continue to teach her how to be a great adult dog. She could go to a home with kids 5+ and possibly cats. No apartments, please! She isn't the biggest fan of other dogs and would do likely do best as an only pup, although she has warmed up to her canine foster sister after living with her for a few weeks. She hasn't live with cats since she came into our care however, she would likely do OK with a dog-savvy cat and slow introductions.River has some separation anxiety and will need someone who's home more often than not. We have a group of volunteer certified positive reinforcement trainers that we partner with and they will be able to work with River's new family to help her feel more comfortable when being left home alone. Her foster says, "River is very smart and eager to learn. She's a great listener and settles down when she needs to! She will make a great family dog/adventure friend...the most loyal best friend her lucky adopter(s) will ever have."She is available for adoption in Worcester, MA by appointment with an approved adopter. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Meet Benjamin! Benjamin is about 2 years old, 46 lbs, and he may have some Doodle in his mix! In his foster home, he is doing great with his house-training, crate-training and leash-walking. He could live with other dogs and dog-savvy kids. Cats are unknown. His foster says, "Benjamin would do best in a home with a fenced in yard. He loves to play with dogs that are smaller in height than he is. He is fully house trained. He walks well on a leash. He is crate trained. He is intimidated by larger dogs especially dogs that are very vocal. He know basic commands. He is in a foster home with two playful smaller dogs: 35 and approximately 43 lb. He would benefit from having a fur sibling but it is not a requirement."He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on July 19th.

Story
Meet Bobby, a 2-year-old Standard Poodle (possibly mixed) with a heart full of love and energy! Bobby thrives on attention and activity, making him the perfect companion for a household with dog-savvy teens and up. He enjoys being the center of attention, so he would do best as the only dog in the home. While Bobby loves his human friends, he isn't a fan of feline company, so a cat-free environment is ideal. If you're looking for a lively and loyal friend, Bobby might just be the perfect match for you! Bobby would certainly benefit from some training to set him up for the success! Please reach out if you think Bobby would be a good fit for your home! Our shelter is open every day except Monday from 12-4. If you are interested in this pet, please call us at 978-452-7781, email info@lowellhumanesociety.org, or stop by the shelter to request an adoption application.
