Story
adoption donation :To be determined  weight 45 lbs  Age: 1 year         Belle is a gorgeous purebred poodle who was a family dog until her parents had to move and could not take her. Belle is just a friendliest, sweetest dog! She is a beautiful dog she loves to play outside and is calm and docile in the house. Belle is very affectionate, she gives wonderful sloppy kisses!       Belle has no aggression and gets along great with other dogs and ignores cats. Belle is not yet spayed but she will be soon, if she is adopted before her spay we would ask her adopter to bring her to one of the clinics Wags uses and the rescue will pay for the procedure.        Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. Story
Charming Chase is the most adorable sweetest puppy!!! He is a beautiful fluffy ball of fur and is such a good boy!Chase's past owner tragically passed away, leaving him seeking a loving family. Unfortunately he wasn’t getting the proper care and attention he needed and deserved, so he was secured by rescue. After being a little timid, Chase soon adapted to his new surroundings and is now thriving!!. This playful and affectionate boy loves interacting with people and other dogs, especially his best buddy, a female pitbullHe has been around small children and did fine.Chase is crate trained and even though he does prefers to be out running around with his new friends, he doesn’t make a peep in his crate and even sleeps quietly all through the night. He keeps his crate clean if given regular potty breaks and will sit quietly and watch other dogs or people when there is activity around him. If you ask him a question, he will do his cute head tilt to try to understand!! Chase follows his foster around and wants to be right next to her most of the time, but has shown no signs of separation anxiety if left alone. Ideally, his forever home will have dogs around his age for endless playtime. If you're ready provide a nurturing environment and plenty of snuggles, Chase promises to bring joy and energy to your life!Name: Charming ChaseBreed: Poodle/Husky MixSex: MaleAge: 17 weeksWeight: 20.0Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations:   Puppy vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are the responsibility of the adopter.Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained:  Getting thereMicrochipped: YesLocation of dog currently:  New EnglandPuppy Adoption Fee:  $550.00 (includes a spay/neuter surgery rebate of up to $200.00 to be paid to the adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England). We can provide a list of low-cost SN clinics to adopters when requested. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee.ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are experienced dog owners and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.  PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy's life. Do you have the time? Please consider purchasing this book before adopting.  Perfect Puppy in 7 Days - How to Start Your Puppy Off Right, Sophia Yin, DVM - it is an amazing book that we recommend very highly and have had amazing feedback on.https://www.amazon.com/Perfect-Puppy-Days-Start-Right/dp/0964151871IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Story
Dominique is an extremely handsome, very social, black with a touch of white on his chest, male standard poodle born on 3/4/23. He currently weighs about 60 pounds and is a burning, burning hunk of love for sure, so it goes without waying that Dominique loves attention and is ready to bond with his special human. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, received a Proheart 6 shot and is also being kept on flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. His adoption donation is $700 plus $165 transport fee. If you would like to adopt Dominique the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Here is Pancake, my lovely grandson. His mother is to the right in the first picture, named Pickles. Pancake was born on 12/6/23 as a singleton. It was one of the funniest days of my life because he came out as a singleton (one puppy), which is not so common. I did an extensive amount of research on how to prevent only-child syndrome, and he was raised in a house with four young children and two other dogs. We have a dog walker who has helped me learn to walk two medium dogs and a stroller simultaneously. Pancake does so well that she has asked if he can be a part of her pack of unleashed dogs that she takes in the woods. He is well-tempered, not a barker, only when necessary unknown guests and late at-night noises. He is still, in fact, a puppy, so there are the occasional shoes or toys that the children leave lying around, but not often. He has been with us since birth, so I know and closely worked on his training. I do expect him to be neutered.

Story
Sebastian is a two year old Standard and Golden Retriever mix who strongly resembles a Standar Poodle. He is fully vetted: microchipped, shots up to date, neutered, and has had a Proheart shot for the prevention of heartworms.  He absolutely loves people, but is fearful of other dogs and is reactive at times. It would be ideal for him to go to a dog-only household. Sebastian is a snuggler and enjoys affection from people. He's potty trained and listens very well.  His a very tall boy, but gentle.  Currently he's being fostered in Arkansas, but transport is available to New England via HEARTS LLC. They are an excellent transport service who has been in business for many years. We favor them over other transport services due to the excellent quality of care they give the dogs/cats and how communicative they are with the adopters. His adoption fee is $650 and that covers the cost of transport. PLEASE NOTE THAT HE WILL NEED TO BE ON A GROOMING SCHEDULE. He does not shed is hair. Prior to applying, please make sure that if you have a co-applicant that everyone is in agreement about adopting.   *someone dyed his coat prior to him entering our program. ##2229423##

Story
Gus is a big lovable goofball. He was found by one of our volunteers and returned to his owner ONLY to be surrendered to our rescue group a few weeks later stating that they did not have enough time for him. Which we are over the moon to have him because he needed a groom and some TLC. (Attached are the before and after pics of him prior to being groomed.)  He is barely one year old, so he's still in the later part of the puppy stage. He needs someone who has the time to spend with him on recall and he can be a little stubborn if you don't have a treat handy during training, but he's so worth the initial effort because he is going to make an outstanding pet for someone.  Gus has the most soulful eyes. He's sweet by nature and gets along fantastic with the other dogs at the rescue. Since he's been in our care we have had him fully vetted: microchipped, neutered, up to date on all vaccinations and he is up to date on his heart worm prevention as well. Currently, he is being fostered in Arkansas, but transport is available through HEARTS LLC. They are a wonderful transport company who's been in business for several years providing top-notch transport for rescues. Gus's adoption fee is $650. This does cover the cost for transport. Such a small price to pay for years of love and companionship. He does require grooming, so please keep this in mind if you are submitting an application.    ##2229628##
