Story
Dominique is an extremely handsome, very social, black with a touch of white on his chest, male standard poodle born on 3/4/23. He currently weighs about 60 pounds and is a burning, burning hunk of love for sure, so it goes without saying that Dominique loves attention and is ready to bond with his special human. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, received a Proheart 6 shot and is also being kept on flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. His adoption donation is $700 plus $165 transport fee. If you would like to adopt Dominique the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Meet Scotty Biscotti, a rambunctious 15-month-old puppy with the potential to become the best companion dog an experienced caretaker has ever had!Let's talk about Scotty:He’s the canine version of Kevin McAllister from Home Alone. Scotty is a treasure troll:- Closet doors cannot be left open- Shoes should never be left unattended- If you use the space under your bed for storage, expect to see things you haven’t seen in yearsScotty can entertain himself with just about any object. He thinks slippers are “flippers” and tosses them with delight. Scotty dances, barks, and runs like a child chasing fireflies in the summer when he sees a leash. He loves to play and can’t understand why his favorite resident dog hides under the bed. If he hears a dog in the distance, he barks … Scotty is a classic example of what happens when a family fails to provide a young puppy structure and training. Scotty is now looking for his new family who can provide him with the structure and training he needs and deserves. Here’s what Scotty needs to reach his full potential:1. Patience and Consistency: Scotty will benefit from a patient caretaker who can provide consistent training and routines. This will help him feel secure and understand what is expected of him.2. Structure: Establish a daily routine that includes feeding times, walks, playtime, and training sessions. This structure will help Scotty understand his world better and reduce any anxiety he may have.3. Exercise: Regular physical activity is crucial for Scotty’ well-being. Daily walks, playtime, and opportunities to run and explore will keep him happy and healthy.4. Training: Investing time in obedience training will help Scotty learn commands and strengthen the bond between him and his caretaker. Positive reinforcement techniques work best for fostering a trusting relationship.5. Socialization: Continued socialization with other dogs and people will help Scotty develop confidence and good manners. This can include playdates, or dog training classes.6. Mental Stimulation: Engaging Scotty’s mind is just as important as physical exercise. Puzzle toys, scent games, and basic training exercises can keep him mentally stimulated and prevent boredom. With the right commitment and love, Scottie can become an incredible companion and bring joy to any family lucky enough to welcome him into their home.Name: Scotty BiscottieBreed: Poodle MixSex: MaleAge: 15 monthsWeight: 14 lbs Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over 12Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $550Location of dog currently: New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England. Story
Bear is an absolute sweetheart with a heart full of love to share! This fluffy, gentle boy may be blind, but that doesn’t slow him down—he enjoys life just as much as any other pup! With his calm, easygoing personality, Bear is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal and loving best friend. Originally from Orlando, Bear was raised in a caring home but needed a new place to call his own when his owner could no longer care for him. He made the journey to the Boston area, proving to be a fantastic traveler and an adaptable pup with the right support. He’s ready to settle into his forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and understood. Bear is friendly, quiet, and adores being near his people. While he’s not big on toys, he has a favorite blanket that he loves tossing around—it’s the cutest thing! He thrives on routine, enjoys an early bedtime with a few treats, and loves spending time in a secure, fenced yard where he can sniff, explore, and do his signature happy zoomies in circles at the park. He’s affectionate in his own special way, enjoying pets and cuddles when he’s comfortable, especially once he knows he can trust you. Bear’s dream home would be a calm, loving environment with a fenced yard where he can safely explore. He would thrive with a patient family who will embrace his blindness and help him navigate his surroundings with love and care. He’s happy to share his home with another gentle, easygoing dog, but he would also do great as the only pup soaking up all the love. This incredible boy is house-trained, well-mannered, and just waiting for the right person to see how truly special he is. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, and gentle companion who will bring so much love into your life, Bear is the one for you! Could you be the perfect match for him? Reach out today to meet Bear and give him the forever home he deserves! 💙🐾
