Carson came to us after his previous family could no longer care for him, and now he is hoping to find a home where he can settle in and be understood. He is a smart little guy with a lot going for him. Carson knows sit, stay, and lie down, and he is crate-trained, potty-trained, and very food-motivated. He will need regular grooming, but he has done well with that in the past.He can be shy at first, so he is not the type to walk into a room acting like everyone is already his best friend. He does better when people give him a little space, let him take things at his own pace, and keep things positive. That kind of patience really matters for him.He has passed his cat test here at the shelter, though he did not have prior experience with cats before coming to us. We also think Carson could do well with the right dog, so we would want to do a meet and greet with any dog already in the home.Carson may need a little time in the beginning, but he has a lot of good in him. We would love to see him find someone who is happy to meet him where he is and help him feel at home.

Clooney is a 2 year old poodle mix. He is very sweet with humans, but it takes him a little bit to warm up to new people. Clooney loves to play fetch, definitely one of his favorite things ever. He is housebroken and has had no accidents here since being housed without other dogs. Clooney prefers to be the only pet in a home. He has lived with other dogs of all sizes - but it really seems to stress him and make him snappy with other animals. At this point he’s really hoping for a family where he is the spoiled child of the family and doesn’t have to share. Clooney should not live with cats or smaller dogs. He loves to romp, run, and fetch - so a fenced yard is a plus. He is low energy for his age, and needs a family who is committed to getting him groomed every six weeks. Honestly a great boy looking for a special family to call his own.
