Story
Meet Ticonderoga ✂️🐾 — yes, like the pencil… and just as iconic. This poodle mix is a sweet, silly, zoomie-powered goofball who treats life like one big recess. Running is his passion, his hobby, and honestly his entire personality. If there’s space to sprint, he’s already halfway across it with zero explanation. Ticonderoga also requires regular grooming to maintain his “fluffy chaos but make it fashion” look. Fresh from the groomer, he struts like a show dog. Five minutes later? back to full gremlin mode. He’s playful, affectionate, and always ready to turn any moment into a game. Equal parts elegance and absolute nonsense — Ticonderoga is here for a good time and a fast time. 🐩✨ PLEASE NOTE: THIS DOG WILL REQUIRE REGULAR GROOMING!! Dogs: Yes, although we rec. a meet and greet! Cats: Unknown Kids: Unknown, we rec. bringing everyone in the home to meet this guy!!

Story
Meet Pippin. When she arrived, her tiny body was hidden beneath severe matting—so tight it pulled at her skin with every step. Her fur had become a painful prison, and no dog should ever have to live like that. We don’t know how long she endured it… but somehow, Pippin is still gentle. SHe looks at you with soft, hopeful eyes, as if she’s still willing to trust, still hoping someone will finally be kind. As the mats were shaved away, a fragile, beautiful soul was revealed—one who is finally starting to feel relief, to feel light, to feel safe. Pippin doesn’t need much. Just someone who will never let her be forgotten again. She’s been through enough… now she’s waiting for love. 💔🐾 Dogs: bigger dogs reccomended, we rec. a meet and greet! Cats: Unknown Kids: No tiny tots!!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.adoption fee $250.00 Scarlett is an 8-year-old Standard Poodle looking for a calm, loving home where she can truly shine. Scarlett prefers a quiet environment, so a household without young children would be the best fit for her. If you have another pet in the home, he/she should be calm and out of the rough & tumble play phase.  Scarlett enjoys going for walks and does well on a leash. She is crate trained and mostly potty trained—any recent small accidents are likely due to the transition into foster care. With consistency and patience, she should continue to do very well. Her foster family describes Scarlett as a big cuddle bug who loves being close to her people. She will never turn down gentle pets, scratches, or quiet companionship. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who enjoys a peaceful lifestyle, Scarlett may be the perfect match. A soft heart, a calm soul, and lots of love to give—Scarlett is ready for her forever home. New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record. Story
Hi I'm King a sweet happy young boy at 1 years of age! I would really love a home with another dog! I came in with an 8# dog and he gave me all of my confidence. Seriously! I was very shy to meet some of the staff at first but as soon as I saw my little buddy was cool with them, I was so happy go lucky and now we're best friends! However, my shelter staff can't adopt me, and my little pal has already found a home so I need a new friend. I am definitely a follower and will do whatever the other dog in the home is doing. I'm such a good boy who loves car rides. When you first meet me I will be a little shy, but if you want to see me shine bring in your K-9 companion to help show me the ropes! I did leave on a trial adoption for almost two weeks that, unfortunately, did not work out in my favor. I was a little hesitant to warm up to the man in the home, but I eventually did! I did well with their 6 year old child. I was housetrained, except I did have a couple of poop accidents when they would leave me by myself. I was still adjusting to their home so please don't blame me too much. They did not crate me when they left, so while I did not destroy anything, crate training me will still be a good idea, especially while I am adjusting to your home (so I don't have accidents)! My trial adopters even took me for a good grooming and it took me a little bit to warm up to the groomer, I am rocking a new haircut now!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!
