Story
Hello . . . My name is Casper, and just like Casper the Friendly Ghost, I am very friendly too!   I am a 6-year-old Poodle blend boy weighing 61 lbs.  I am a tall, strong and lanky fella who is looking to find my new FURever home. Nothing would please me more than to be able to spend the upcoming holidays in that new home.  I hope you enjoy reading more about me!  General Behavior:  Casper is the best boy who deserves an awesome home.  Casper is the epitome of love and the term "goodest boy"  Likes & Dislikes: Casper LOVES to play.  He loves people and will gently “nudge you” if you aren’t showing him enough love.  This sweet buddy is not a fan of thunder. Training: Casper is housetrained and is great about doing his business outside.  He has good basic manners, but he is strong so leashed walks need to be with someone that can handle a dog of Casper's size and energy.  Medical: Casper is a healthy pup and will just require his monthly heartworm and flea prevention, like any other dog. Other Animals: Casper is experienced with other dogs and loves canine pals. He tends to do better with dogs that are smaller than he is since he's a big strong boy. He's played beautifully with female dogs that are his size but isn't as receptive to male dogs that are larger than he is. Casper has no experience with cats. Children: Casper is great with kids - he loves to run, play and romp. Given his size, he may knock small children over, but he loves everyone he meets and would make a great family pooch!   Home: Casper would really benefit from having other dogs around so a home with a playful fur friend (or two or three) would be best. He would do okay in condo living as long as he had regular exercise, activity and walks.  He would absolutely love a home with a fenced yard to run and play, but a home without a fenced yard would be ok, as long as his daily exercise needs are met to keep him lean and strong.  Grooming:  Casper is a Poodle mix who will require professional grooming approximately every 8-10 weeks.  The cost of grooming should be considered by his potential adopter. In between, he will need “at home spa days” for brushing, nail trims and bathing.  Overall: Casper wants to be loved and has so much love to give in return.  Anyone would be blessed to have this special boy join their family.  With patience, love and commitment, the sky’s the limit for Casper. Are you the one for Casper?  Please visit our website, www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt.  Casper is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.   His adoption donation is $350. ##2170688##

Story
***Local adoption only: Tank must be adopted by a family in the Central Florida area who can commit to taking him to all his final puppy vetting appointments. (The cost of his follow up is covered by the rescue).*** Hi, I’m Tank! I’m a 6-month-old Standard Poodle who currently weighs about 36 lbs. I just want to be everyone’s friend: will you be mine? You can read more about me below. General Behavior: Tank loves other dogs and people and wants to play with everyone. He is a typical Poodle: adventurous, athletic, affectionate, and extremely intelligent. Likes & Dislikes: Tank wants to play all day! In addition to human and canine playmates, he loves to play with toys: the more, the merrier! Training:  Tank is a smart cookie. (He is also smart for cookies: he is very food-motivated and therefore very trainable.) He is making good progress on house training. He already knows “sit” but he still tries to jump for food and treats. Other than that, he walks well on a leash, is well-behaved on car rides, and sleeps in a dog bed at night. Medical: Tank is a healthy boy! He just needs his monthly flea and heartworm medications, like any dog. He still needs to finish his puppy vetting, and his forever family must commit to taking him to his final appointments with Poodle and Pooch Rescue’s vetting partner. Other Animals: Tank loves other dogs of all sizes, but he is NOT a fan of cats. Children:  Given his energy levels, Tank will probably do best in a home with older children (ages 8+) only. Home: Tank barks and whines when left alone so he will need a single family home for that reason. Grooming: As a Poodle, Tank will need regular brushing plus professional grooming about every 6-8 weeks. Overall: Tank will make a wonderful companion for an active family who can raise him, train him, and love him forever. Do you Tank’s just terrific and tremendous? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed, and he has just had his teeth cleaned.  His adoption donation is $650. ##2229533##

Marty came to the rescue shy and scared of people but is in a foster home and is learning to trust. She is all puppy at about 6 months and about 40 pounds. She looks like a German wire hair pointer mix or a pudlepointer.  Marty can now walk on a leash and is crate trained. She adores other dogs and follows their lead to learn new things. She would do best in a home with another dog and a fenced yard. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $250.
