Dog Name: Onyx Doodle mix Sex: male neutered Age: 1 year Weight: 60 lbs Medical Needs: None Housebroken: So far so good with frequent trips outside to take care of business. Crate trained: He does well with the crate at bed time. He doesn’t like being crated during the day as he prefers to be with his people. Good in the car: drools a lot in the car- I think nerves. Good on a leash: yes, very good Energy level: Medium energy. He likes to run around to play, but also loves a good snuggle. Need a fenced in yard: No, he has done well with staying in our unfenced yard and comes when called. Dog Friendly: Yes. He loves other dogs. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? Not required. I’m sure he’d do fine without. Cat Friendly? He barks at them, but does not touch. Kid Friendly: Yes but I would say he would be better with older children. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? 7+ years old Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Onyx is a great boy. He is very loyal. Right now, he is in a puppy stage so he needs lots of toys/bones to keep him occupied. I recommend that if he goes with a family with kids, that the kids be older, as Onyx can be protective of his adult-people. And in typical dog fashion, he does not like when he is touched when trying to chew on a bone or a toy. Overall, he is truly a sweet and smart boy. A huge love bug.
