He was adopted by his family when he was just 10 weeks old and is believed to be a poodle pointer. He has lots of energy and loves to play. Peter is a fun loving guy who loves to: Play fetch Sit in his pool Swim in any kinds of water Go on walks/hikes with his family Chase the hose outside Being outdoors Chase birds, rabbits and squirrels (He has yet to catch one, but continues to try) He is very social with company that comes over to visit Loves sitting at his front door with it open watching the traffic/people go by Loves sleeping in his crate at night Can leave him home all day and will not chew objects in home He loves having jobs and working Peter is considered special needs due to his high anxiety. Due to his family having a toddler, his family has made the difficult decision that Peter needs a home with less noise and more space. He is a very skittish dog who needs to be with someone who understands his high needs. Peter worked with a trainer for a year - is great with the commands: Sit Come Down Place Stay Leave it No Quirks: Food aggression (He loves finding his food in the house and is given space when he eats and does great) Resource Guarding Tight Spaces (He becomes uncomfortable and can become reactive if felt threatened) Sleep startled (He has a space in his home where he knows he can go sleep and not be bothered) Peter needs a special home equipped to work with him on easing his anxieties. His adopter will receive a training package with his current trainer to allow for a smooth transition. His family is willing to help with any transition as well. He would benefit from a family who has land for him to roam. Due to his high anxiety, he would do best in a home with adults only and no other dogs. (Although he does well with other dogs especially females)

This sweet, handsome fella was roaming the city and county for a few months and no one could catch him. We were called in to help and within a few hours he was safe in our care thanks to a citizen helping man the traps. He is very sweet, friendly and loving but he definitely has a checkered past. He does not like to be left alone for too long and can get destructive. Like many dogs here in TN he was neglected to the point where he lost trust in humans. He has now learned that there are some really great humans and so he wants to be with you. He does like to play with other dogs and will do best in a home with another dog or 2 that are friendly and playful. He is also very young (we can only guess) so he needs an active family. He loves water, going for walks and is a great car rider. He does great with kids too. I think he would love a big, fun family to smother him with love and attention. He will need an adopter willing to work with his separation anxiety and help him get over that(there are lots of free resources). He is a Poodle, not sure if he is pure or a mix but he is going to require regular grooming. He is a high maintenance guy looking for the perfect home to meet his needs. I think he may be a standard size poodle as his legs are very long and he is so tall to be so young so maybe on the large/medium size. He has a little patch of white on his chest and a long tail. He will be getting groomed on Friday, November 8 and we will update the pictures after that. MAX loves little kids, plays relentlessly with the family dog and even tries to play with the cat, such a good all around kid this boy is. We would love for him to go to a home as a playmate with another dog because he simply loves to play and run zoomies in the backyard. He would be awfully bored as an only dog and may tend to get into things. MAX will be available to go to his new home after Wednesday, November 20 but we are taking applications now. Get to know Wilma: Wilma's a simple gal, a southern belle, and currently recovering from a bad injury- she was found outside a "car repair" place.... they didn't know how to repair a puppy so she was taken to the rescue after she was found. It was a really scary and sad situation but for Wilma, it started her REAL life- one of love and eating regularly and having HOPE! She's an absolute cutie with her scruffy ears and few spots on her white coat. She has a pretty smile and loves to wag her tail. The rescue people think Wilma is a Standard Poodle/Sheepdog mix... she has such a wonderful and outgoing personality. She is great with all people she meets and the smile she shares will melt everyone's heart, so be prepared!!! She'll be living a bit more laid back right now as her recovery process progresses. No high energy play or crazy activities. But that won't be for long!!! Sebastian is a two year old Standard and Golden Retriever mix who strongly resembles a Standar Poodle. He is fully vetted: microchipped, shots up to date, neutered, and has had a Proheart shot for the prevention of heartworms. He absolutely loves people, but is fearful of other dogs and is reactive at times. It would be ideal for him to go to a dog-only household. Sebastian is a snuggler and enjoys affection from people. He's potty trained and listens very well. His a very tall boy, but gentle. Currently he's being fostered in Arkansas, but transport is available to New England via HEARTS LLC. They are an excellent transport service who has been in business for many years. We favor them over other transport services due to the excellent quality of care they give the dogs/cats and how communicative they are with the adopters. His adoption fee is $650 and that covers the cost of transport. PLEASE NOTE THAT HE WILL NEED TO BE ON A GROOMING SCHEDULE. He does not shed is hair.
