Story
Meet Petra, a super sweet and spunky 4 month old female Poodle/Cattle dog/Terrier mix puppy! Petra is one of the pups from the Oktoberfest litter, born to mama Gretchen (37 lb German Wirehaired Pointer mix - found as a stray in east TN when she was heavily pregnant) on 10/29/2025. We are unsure what Dad is, but based on the pups' current age and size, we think these scruffy pups will grow to around 40-60 lbs.  From Petra, Freya, and Heidi's current foster:  "These three amazing puppies are the perfect mix of loving cuddle bugs and confident little explorers. They absolutely love cuddling up in your lap for snuggles, but they’re also wonderfully independent and happy to entertain themselves with a ball or a squeaky toy when playtime calls.  They are playful, kind-hearted, and gentle souls who get along amazingly with other dogs, cats, and kids. These beautiful pups are true social butterflies with great manners for their age. Whether it’s playing by themselves or together or settling in for a nap, they adjust beautifully. All three are crate trained and are doing great with potty training. They currently use pee pads indoors, eat wonderfully, and are taken outside right after meals, where they already know how to do their business outdoors, such smart girls! If you’re looking for a puppy who is affectionate, fun, well socialized, and off to a fantastic start with training, these girls will steal your heart in no time. Petra: Confident and playful, Petra loves her toys and has a curious, adventurous spirit that makes every day brighter. Freya: The perfect balance of calm and silly, Freya enjoys independent play and then settling in for the coziest snuggles. Heidi: A total lap lover with a gentle heart, Heidi is happiest when she’s cuddled up close but always ready to join the fun." Petra is medically up to date (age appropriate) and is so excited to embark on her next adventure - finding her furever family! Apply to meet this sweetie today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2594681##

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Okay, GRACIE does not look too beautiful in these pictures but she is in person and her soul is really beautiful.  GRACIE is a wonderful dog who I rescued from the streets of San Antonio, TX.  She had been hanging out at a bank, just sitting there waiting for someone to rescue her.  She was so happy to be saved.  She is for sure a very loyal and loving dog. I am going to try to groom her this weekend and get better pictures of her but she is an all black dog and those pictures are hard to take and to make them clear.  Her coat is wavy/curly and she does allow you to groom her and she takes a good bath.  GRACIE is a poodle/terrier mix who is 3 years old and 51 pounds. GRACIE's main purpose in life is to play.  She would do best in a home with another dog as a playmate.  For sure she would occupy that dog's time and energy!  GRACIE plays, eats and sleeps to get ready to play again.  She deserves a second chance at having a loving home.  I wish I knew why she was tossed away on the streets because she is such a good girl and I have no problems out of her. She loves to go on walks or do anything that involves receiving love.  She is really a pets pet and will not bother you around the house.  I have on good thoughts and great things to say about her. If you are interested in adopted GRACIE, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This is BIRDIE, she was given that name by the family who found her because her barks sounds like bird chirps and she is not a barker so I rarely get to hear her chirp!  If there was a name I could give her for happy and sweet I would name her that because she is just happy all the time and super sweet.  She totally gets along with everyone and tries to play with all of the dogs big and small. BIRDIE will get groomed on Thursday and I will update the 'after' pictures once she is groomed.  She is 2 years old and 40 pounds and a bit underweight.  She could stand to gain at least 5-10 pounds.  I think BIRDIE is a small large- medium size dog, not really the tall standard poodle height or weight.  Her color is cream and she takes a bath really well. She walks very well on a leash, jumps in the car and rides without getting sick.  BIRDIE is happy to meet everyone.  This is a great dog who deserves a 2nd chance at a good forever home.  She was found wandering a neighborhood and posted on social media for a while trying to find her owners but no one ever came forward.  She was not microchipped but she is now. If you are interested in adopting BIRDIE, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.
