Story
** If you are interested in adopting Bobo please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Bobo! Bobo is a 6-year-old. 55lb Schnoodle (Poodle/Schnauzer mix) with a heart as big as his sweet eyes. Bobo’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. He was surrendered to a tiny shelter in rural Texas by his owners, who sadly didn’t have the time or care to give him the love and attention he deserved. Bobo spent the last 2 months confined to the yard, and the condition he arrived at the shelter in showed this! His coat became severely matted, weighing him down and causing him discomfort. After a much-needed grooming, he lost about 5 pounds and looked like a completely different dog. But Bobo is a fighter! Despite his rough past and not being treated how he deserves, he’s incredibly sweet and resilient, and he’s ready to leave that chapter behind. He’s gentle, affectionate, and loves to be around people. Bobo enjoys cuddles, belly rubs, and simply being in the presence of someone who loves him. With proper care and attention, his beautiful coat will grow back healthy and shiny, and he’ll continue to thrive in a home where he’s cherished and treated with the kindness he deserves. Bobo is also good with all other dogs he has met! Bobo deserves a loving family who can offer him the warmth and comfort he’s been missing for far too long. He has a lot of love to give, and he’s looking for a home where he can feel safe and secure for the rest of his days. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s had a rough start but is still full of life and love, Bobo might be the perfect fit. Bobo is ready for a fresh start, and he’s looking for a home where he can shower you with affection and share his fun-loving spirit. We don't know if Bobo has had any formal training. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young dog whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Our training requirement is to help every adoption be successful. Bobo has been fully vetted and is up to date on his vaccines and neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

Story
Meet Sprocket, a 4-year-old Poodle mix with a big personality and a heart full of potential. Sprocket has had a rough start and comes with a history of reactivity and biting. He’s a scared dog who needs a firm, experienced owner to help him feel secure and establish boundaries. Sprocket has had training sessions and responds well to clear, consistent leadership. Once he knows you’re in charge, he’s much more relaxed and doesn’t push back. However, he does react to new people and should wear a muzzle during initial introductions for safety. Despite his challenges, Sprocket has no health issues and thrives on affection from his trusted person. He enjoys being cuddled and will show his sweet side once he’s built trust. If you’re an experienced dog owner ready to provide a structured, loving environment, Sprocket could be a rewarding companion. He’s looking for someone who can help him overcome his fears and show him the love and stability he deserves.

Story
Hi! My name is Lollipop. I’m a black stardard poodle, I was born on 7/16/24. My foster mom thinks i will be around 50 pounds full grown but I am still a little fella right now. My mom says I’m doing amazing on crate training but still need some work on the house part. Sometimes I get too excited and forget to go outside. I absolutely love all my fur siblings, some of them are dogs both big and small and a few of them are cats. I’m good with all people and kids and pretty much love everyone I meet! I can’t wait to meet my forever family!Lollipop a purebred Poodle, is available for adoption at a special price reflecting her breed's market value: $500 for transport to Colorado, or $350 for local adoption. This fee covers all veterinary expenses. 100% of adoption fees are reinvested in our organization to offset veterinary costs for less adoptable animals or those with reduced or waived fees, and to provide specialized care for sick animals. No profit is generated; all funds directly benefit animal welfare. Transport is limited to Colorado. Serious inquiries only, prepared to cover the applicable adoption fee. Due to high anticipated interest, applications will be reviewed sequentially. Story
Christopher is 3 1/2 yr old. I adopted him 1 yr ago not thinking far enough in the future. I am widowed, retired and on fixed income. I can’t afford to keep him. He’s a wonderful companion but has separation anxiety. I can’t leave him in a crate without drugging him so I take him to daycare when I have to be away from home. He loves people, will play with other dogs if I’m not there. He gets the zoomies once in a while when outside but is happy with a 1/2 hr walk daily. He walks on a loose lead unless there’s a rabbit around. His recall is not reliable. He does bark at everything moving past the house. He is funny when he’s wanting something like a rawhide bone. I have a video of one of those times. I acquired him from a man who’d had him for about 8 months and was moving to Wyoming..he didn’t want to take him with him. That person got him because the original owner said he barked too much. So, I’m his 3rd. He is smart and would benefit from training that I can’t afford.
