Story
LEXI is a beautiful well-behaved purebred Standard Poodle who comes from a very loving home, but whose human mom has passed away. Lexi is lonely and probably sad too, so she needs a new family to love, and to give her new love and happiness too. Lexi is very sweet, and sometimes cries when left alone so we are hoping for a family where there is someone usually home so she doesn't feel lonely. Lexi is housetrained, spayed, and has had all her shots. Lexi would do best as an only dog or with another Standard Poodle or perhaps larger dog. To learn more about Lexi, please contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (Also our PayPal donation and sponsorship email)

Story
Meet Sprocket, a 4-year-old Poodle mix with a big personality and a heart full of potential. Sprocket has had a rough start and comes with a history of reactivity and biting. He’s a scared dog who needs a firm, experienced owner to help him feel secure and establish boundaries. Sprocket has had training sessions and responds well to clear, consistent leadership. Once he knows you’re in charge, he’s much more relaxed and doesn’t push back. However, he does react to new people and should wear a muzzle during initial introductions for safety. Despite his challenges, Sprocket has no health issues and thrives on affection from his trusted person. He enjoys being cuddled and will show his sweet side once he’s built trust. If you’re an experienced dog owner ready to provide a structured, loving environment, Sprocket could be a rewarding companion. He’s looking for someone who can help him overcome his fears and show him the love and stability he deserves.

Story
Ozzy (1.5 years old) If ever there were a dog who defines the word “miracle,” it’s Ozzy.At just a year and a half old, this tiny poodle mix has already survived more than most dogs ever will. He beat Parvo, one of the deadliest puppy viruses, and then survived being run over by a car—a tragedy that left both of his back legs badly injured and degloved. Thanks to the incredible team at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital, one of Ozzy’s legs was saved entirely, and surgeons were able to preserve most of his other leg through a complex skin graft procedure. He’s been in and out of the hospital for months, bravely enduring weekly bandage changes and long days of recovery with his trademark tail wagging through it all. Now, this little fighter is getting ready for the next chapter of his journey—his custom prosthetic that will help him run, play, and live the full puppy life he deserves. Ozzy’s heart is as big as his story. He’s gentle, endlessly affectionate, and happiest when he’s pressed up against you, reminding everyone he meets that love really does heal all wounds. He gets along beautifully with other dogs, but we think he’ll shine brightest as the only pet in the home—soaking up all the love he’s fought so hard to deserve. Story
Meet Freddie our sweet one year old poodle mix. He weighs 15 pounds full grown. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. The vet sent him home with a clean bill of health and is now ready to find a home all his own. He is house trained and goes outside to do his business every couple hours when needed. Inside the home, he's pretty independent and keeps to himself unless you're calling him over for some love and attention. He's not the type to demand affection, but he absolutely soaks it up when it's offered. He is still getting the hang of walking on a leash and building confidence as his previous life as a breeder dog didn't include many outings, so everything is still a little unfamiliar to him but he's making steady progress. He enjoys spending quiet time out in the yard and will happily hang out on his own, especially if he's not quite ready to come inside. He's a bit of a hide and seek pro when he wants to be. Every day he gets a little braver, a little more curious, and a little more confident. He currently sleeps in his crate peacefully at night but I'm sure he would love his own bed next to yours if you prefer. He sleeps soundly through the night and settles in easily when you need to step out. What he needs now is someone with patients and a gentle heart, someone who understands that love and trust take time to grow. He'd thrive in a calm, nurturing home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. His adoption fee is $1500 which covers all vet costs, care and training since the time he's been with us. Get in touch with us today and share details about yourself, the loving home you can provide, and your experience with the breed. Located in Hesperia CA. We offer transportation to you so long as it's covered by the adopter. We will be in contact with you shortly. Thank you!

Story
COURTESY POST Introducing darling BUDDY! This senior cutie has no idea that he is 11 years old. His zest for life is absolutely infectious! Buddy LOVES walks and would be happy to help keep you in shape. He’s super playful, loves his squeaker toys, enjoys a good game of fetch and will drop the ball at your feet. He is super smart, engaging, eager to please, loves treats and takes them gently. Buddy knows sit, paw, “touch” and would love to learn more! Buddy is affectionate and loving, enjoys cuddling in your lap and being brushed. Once he knows and trusts you, he gives sweet kisses on your nose or cheek. He enjoys car rides and does great in the car. Buddy is a bit insecure and takes a while to trust. He demonstrates this by resource guarding. We address this by providing Buddy with his own basket of toys and by offering him something he wants more if we need to take something from him. Buddy enjoys of the company of other dogs when on a walk, however, given his propensity to resource guard, best as an only dog. No dog parks. No cats. Best in an adult-only home. This fun-loving, happy boy needs a kind, patient, dog savvy, poodle-loving someone to call his own! 11 years old 14 pounds CONTACT: DIANE, Volunteer Advocate Text/Call, (310) 507-3341 Email, dk1enzo@cox.net
