He was picked up by AC with a standard poodle as stray horribly matted with over 5 lb of mats to the skin that had to be shaved off (pictures included).The shelter said he tried to keep a clean kennel while he was there and he pretty well walks okay on a leash but you can tell he's not been trained well on one but he tries. Clipped into a halter and seatbelt in the car for the long ride back, he was very interested in everything in the back seat, but he listened well and finally laid down to travel. He seems to have medium energy level so I wouldn't think he would be good with small children or the elderly and he is large, hopefully to get much larger once he gains weight! He seemed fine with other dogs at the vet clinic, but that's all I know and that he came in with the poodle. I have no clue on cats. I only met him today, but he's a real sweetheart.He will be at Adoption event January 18th at the Madison Petco. Apply online madisonarf.orgAdoption fee is $350

Poor girl was picked up by AC with Doodle as stray, horribly matted to the skin, with over 6 lbs of mats having to be shaved off her! (Pictures included) She tried keeping a clean kennel at the shelter, they said. She's nervous riding in the crate in the car, doesn't like going fast, hasn't been on leash much but does fairly well. She's sweet but a bit nervous, so I wouldn't say small kids for her or a loud home. Fenced secure yard, yes, and comfortable, calm environment to make her feel safe. Someone home most of the time would be ideal, experienced with poodles, their grooming needs and with one who will need extra love for a little while. It won't take her much to know that she's safe finally. Adoption fee is $350 for this fully vetted young lady of 5 years. Please apply at MadisonARF.org

Please contact Glenda (fairydogmother@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Redford is a one year old creme color Standard Poodle that weighs 40 pounds.  He is a friendly, somewhat shy fellow that transferred from a rescue that did not have space for him.  Redford plays well with other dogs and kids.  So mild mannered, I assume he is good with cats too.  Redford is neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm/flea/parasite prevention.  His adoption fee is a tax deductible donation to the rescue and has been reduced $100 to help offset the cost of a groom.  Adoption fee is now $700.  February 1, 2025, 3:19 pm

Courtesy posting for Rolling Ridge Rescue at 256-531-6396 Gus is estimated to be 5 years old by our Veterinarian. He is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and heartworm negative. He is on monthly preventative. Ge us good with all humans - adults and children of all sizes and ages. Gus loves people and never met a stranger. Gus will chase cats so we do not recommend that he is in a home with cats. Gus can be grumpy with some male dogs so we would recommend a home with no male dogs as well although he may be fine there. He would do great in an apartment living situation. Gus is not destructive and loves to play with his many toys. Loves to go on walks and Loves his car rides.
