Stella is a 1 year old Staffy/Pug mix with a lot of energy and a lot of love. She is a very affectionate “velcro dog”, as she loves to cuddle and always wants to be near her person. She is a big goofball and will fall asleep in the weirdest of positions! Stella is still chock full of puppy energy and needs lots of exercise & activities to keep her stimulated (we think she would make a great agility dog!). She is crate trained and does very well in them, but would prefer a home where at least one human is home most of the time. Stella loves to chew on things, whether that’s the fun stuff like bones and toys, or the not so fun stuff, like pens, tv remotes, or anything she can pull from the recycling. We think she would be very receptive to training because of how people-focused she is. Stella loves to play with other dogs, but she can be very intense, so we think she would do best in a home where any dog siblings are bigger than her and will tolerate her play style.

Bristol is a lively and playful dog with an endless supply of energy and love. He is about 5 years old and around 65 lbs. Bristol loves to snuggle and will happily sleep by your side whenever you want him to. His favorite activities include walks around the neighborhood, a couple of miles through parks, hikes, or romping around an off-leash dog park where he can make new friends and explore to his heart's content. Despite his energetic nature, Bristol isn't a fan of long-distance running because his hips get sore after a couple of miles. He prefers the comfort of home and the company of his favorite humans. His charming personality and affectionate nature make him the perfect companion for cozy evenings and weekend adventures. Bristol also has great recall skills, making him a joy to have off-leash. Dom is such a sweet boy who needs a forever home to lay his head. He is a Staffy/German Shepherd mix (with DNA results to prove it!) and he is 70lbs but needs to lose about 15-20lbs. Dom has sooo many amazing qualities! He is affectionate and LOVES a good snuggle on the couch. He will also do fine while you are at work! He is fine free roaming the home but is also crate trained. He is an independent man and will self entertain. He loves to play ball, go swimming, go for walks, play frisbee and he even likes to be groomed! Dom does need a quiet home, older children (teenagers) would be fine. He needs just a few minutes to warm up to new people and then he will be your forever friend! He does fine with both women and men. He needs to be the only pet in the home but he does fine with fowl. He will alert bark if you are looking for a protector for you home. :) A fenced in yard will be required. KARE staff has certified trainers that will be here to help Dom's transition into his new home. Adopters must live in Kitsap County.

I am a BIG boy at 85 lbs.! This seems to be my ideal weight, too! I am a laid-back, middle-aged dude who wants all the attention! We are working on my excitability, and I am learning not to jump. I am a typical bulldog with itchy skin & lots of lovable folds that will need care. I love to go outside and play, and I know just what to do out there. No messes in the house! I love car rides and especially getting treats from that magic pull-up window! Why can't I sit on your lap? I walk well on my leash and love it when you think that you will get my toy back. Nope, nope, nope! My foster peeps are still assessing whether I am good with other dogs. I do well in dog parks but may be a tad resource aggressive. However, it's been a crazy few days, and we will check back here after more assessments.
