Karl is: Kind with everyone he meets … he LOVES people! ++++++++ Happy, happy HAPPY always! ++++++++ Snuggly (loves being next to you in bed or on the couch) like a warm toasted marshmallow ++++++++ LOVES to give hugs and kisses ++++++++ Very quiet, even among barking dogs… only barks if he feels he is missing out on the fun ++++++++ An excellent listener and is easy to redirect; sensitive to tone of voice ++++++++ A really solid nighttime sleeper ++++++++ Gentle, gentle, gentle ++++++++ Loyal and will connect and attach without being overbearing ++++++++ Knows all basic commands and responds appropriately ++++++++ Would do best in an energetic & also quiet (balanced), healthy, connected, snuggly, home, Kennel and potty trained! ++++++++ Karl is 7 years old, and 65-70 lbs. He is currently living with 2 male dogs and coexists nicely. His best match up would be a solo home, or a dog with mellow energy like his! He loves rides in the car and showing you his toy when you walk through any door in the house. He also LOVES belly rubs and is very food motivated. Karl has excellent house manners, he is a total gentleman. ++++++++ He would be absolutely perfect for someone who wants a loving loyal companion, who likes to go for daily walks, and wants a chill adventure buddy. He does wonderful in public places and would be a great side kick for going out and about. He is not bothered by noises, people, or other dogs. ++++++++ Karl is not leash reactive, but will need some leash training with birds, bunnies and cats. He just started training to work on this, and he is making huge strides... He is very intelligent and connects with his person. ++++++++ Karl will need a savvy leader. This handsome boy is around 1 year old and weighs around 40ish pounds. ~+~+~+~ Milo was rescued from a shelter in California. Landing himself on the urgent list at only 10 months old due to lack of space. ~+~+~+~ This sweet boy has been such a delight in his foster home. He has quickly adjusted to his new environment and has become besties with his Great Dane foster siblings. ~+~+~+~ Middle school aged kids preferred! ~+~+~+~ He is potty trained, and crate trained!! ~+~+~+~ Catching on quickly to basic manners and will only improve with consistency in his new home. Sits for treats is VERY food motivated!! LOVES toys!! ~+~+~+~ Loves to run around the fenced yard and comes when called, seems to have a really nice recall for such a young guy. Does great on leashed walks as well! ~+~+~+~ The perfect balance of, playful/energetic and chill/snuggly! ~+~+~+~ Seems to be sensitive to loud noises and will go lay down in a safe place. Milo will need a little extra love and reassurance building his confidence. His first year of life was a lot of unknowns, but what we do know is his happy go lucky personality radiates, and he welcomes most new situations with a wiggly butt, and tail wags. ~+~+~+~ Milo could be the perfect addition to a home looking for a dog companion for their resident dog, or someone looking for a dog companion for themselves. I am looking for a good home for Milo! I would love to keep him, however, my wife and I work twelve hour days and he is forced to be alone during those times, with no one to love on him! He has had all his shots. All his records are at the Puyallup Veterinary off of Main Street in Puyallup. They know him well. He is house trained and is great with kids and other dogs! He is turning 8mos on September 20th. He was born January 20, 2024.

Ruby is very cuddly and sweet. As a senior dog she loves naps, but she still jumps around for treats and gets excited for the occasional game of tug! This is an emergency re-homing. If we can’t find a place for her in the next month she’ll have to be put down. We love our Ruby girl and would do anything to avoid that.

Story
Dom is such a sweet boy who needs a forever home to lay his head. He is a Staffy/German Shepherd mix (with DNA results to prove it!) and he is 70lbs but needs to lose about 15-20lbs. Dom has sooo many amazing qualities! He is affectionate and LOVES a good snuggle on the couch. He will also do fine while you are at work! He is fine free roaming the home but is also crate trained. He is an independent man and will self entertain. He loves to play ball, go swimming, go for walks, play frisbee and he even likes to be groomed! Dom does need a quiet home, older children (teenagers) would be fine. He needs just a few minutes to warm up to new people and then he will be your forever friend! He does fine with both women and men. He needs to be the only pet in the home but he does fine with fowl. He will alert bark if you are looking for a protector for you home. :) A fenced in yard will be required. KARE staff has certified trainers that will be here to help Dom's transition into his new home. Adopters must live in Kitsap County.
