Story
Did someone say sweetheart? Miso is a nearly 5-year-old mixed breed girl with a heart of gold. She's the total package - obedient, well tempered, quiet. Crate trained and house trained. Miso enjoys daily walks and you will, too, because this girl has beautiful leash manners. Miso likes to run and is always up for a hike, but she's also an easy going pup who doesn't demand high levels of activity. A fenced yard is required for Miso, as she loves to spend the day napping outside and exploring the backyard. Miso gets along well with other dogs, and likes to play with them. She also gets along with cats and children! Miso starts out shy, but she warms up in time. She also can be anxious in certain circumstances (she's not a fan of thunderstorms!), so needs people who will support her and give her confidence when she needs a boost. To meet Miso, please complete an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationNovember 2, 2024, 6:58 am

Story
Sadie is an absolute lady with a love of squeaky stuffies, tennis balls, and people! This amazing girl stole all our hearts with her ease and smiling face, we hope she reaches yours too! Fall in love with Sadie here: https://youtu.be/tknJVMR6Esw?si=4zf-rX2UMJOlctjm In rescue age and breed are details about a dog we can never know with 100% confidence, but we believe Sadie is a boxer/lab mix and possibly 5 years old, weighing 40 lbs. Her face gives off an older look than her physical health and energy level show. Those details don’t speak to who Sadie is at her core though, this is a dog that only sees the goodness and reflects it right back. Everyone who met her commented that she “made my day” or “her happiness is contagious!” It was hard not be overwhelmed with a smile for seemingly no reason at all, no silly tricks or attention getters, just her company. She is something really special in this world and we can't even imagine how much more she will shine once she finds her forever family. Sadie’s easy-going nature can be seen in all her interactions- with other dogs she was friendly and content in their company, and with our house cat she was perfectly respectful. An ideal home for Sadie is one where napping is encouraged, and dog-toys will be purchased. For a canine companion, Sadie would love an easy-going partner-in-chill and cats are welcome! Thanks to her calm and quiet nature, and size, Sadie would be a great fit for the apartment life or a house with a yard. All we think she absolutely needs is a family of her own and a home where she is loved! Sadie is great with kids; in her video she plays with a 6-year-old. She’s gentle, patient and not easily overwhelmed by the sudden movements and loud noises that young children make. Sadie is also great with cats, not overly interested and happy to coexist. She’s a champion on leash, with enough stamina and interest to accompany you on long walks but loves the indoor lifestyle enough to spend hours and hours snuggling on the couch. Sadie is a wonder-dog, and so thoroughly loved here at the rescue- we can’t wait to see her showered in the love of her forever family. Sadie does have a mild case of dry eye in one of her eyes, which is eased with daily drops, and six-month supply is included in her adoption. Learn more about Sadie’s eyes in her video. Sadie is available for adoption now! The sooner you get her home the sooner the love can start flowing! The best days of Sadie’s life are ahead of her, and she can’t wait to spend them with you! If you have any questions about Sadie or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kathleen@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Our rescue has a 2-acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs, and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Story
Your Future Couch Companion Carlitos is an 8-year-old gentleman with a calm and easygoing demeanor. This sweet, low-energy pup enjoys lounging around, sunbathing, and receiving belly rubs. https://youtu.be/zl4aIP1SVXU?feature=shared He gets along well with female dogs and would thrive in a home with a laid-back female canine companion. Carlitos is not fond of cats and should not be placed in a household with them. He does best in quieter, residential settings, such as a house or condo, where he can avoid the hustle and bustle of city life. Carlitos is great on a leash and enjoys leisurely walks, making him perfect for a family looking for a relaxed and loving companion. Although he may not be the most playful pup, he brings a gentle and affectionate presence to those who take the time to get to know him. Carlitos would flourish in a home where he can be a cherished member of the family, enjoying cozy moments and gentle companionship. If you're looking for a mellow, lovable dog who will appreciate the comforts of home and a warm spot on the couch, Carlitos is your perfect match. Story
This adorable boy is named Charlie. Charlie has so much to brag about, he’s easy on leash, great in the car, a canine-socialite that loves his doggy-friends, great with kids, and so friendly. He’s so fun and silly, a really great companion dog. He knows basic commands, he’s good in his crate, playful and snuggly, and super gentle! We believe that Charlie is a Pittie mix, maybe AmStaff and Boston Terrier, around 11 months old. He weighs in around 50 lbs right now, the perfect size for snuggles! Charlie is a rescue, so his exact age and breed are a bit of a mystery and cannot be guaranteed. Watch Charlie here: https://youtu.be/n7DoFs8NlNg?si=ow4BCpUELcXx7Thi Charlie has GREAT manners, he’s easy on leash, good in the car, and great in the house! No indoor accidents, no marking, no counter surfing, and not too jumpy or mouthy! This boy is solid, and ready for his forever home! Charlie takes treats gently, and he’s very treat-motivated. He knows a handful of basic commands already, and he eagerly shows them off for snacks! He loves toys too, especially Nylabones! He’s good about sharing them too. Charlie is currently fostered in a home with a foster puppy, who he gets along well with and plays with often. They share beds, toys and treats without issue. Charlie’s foster dad reports that he’s also a champ at bath time, super patient and gentle. Charlie is great with other dogs, here at the rescue he played with some other dogs of his size and age. Heston did great with them! He politely greeted them, and he wasn’t too pushy with his play. He’s a socialite and his social skills are amazing! He’ll make a wonderful friend for your pup! Charlie did well meeting small scruff dogs as well, we’re proud to call him small-dog friendly. Here at the rescue, Charlie was cat-tested by our behavior team. Unfortunately Charlie was a little too interested in the kitty, so we do recommend him for a cat-free home. Otherwise, Charlie could likely do well in just about any animal lover’s home. Charlie was also kid-tested here at the rescue, and he did wonderfully meeting a three year old boy. We are recommending Charlie for a home with older, dog-savvy kiddos, he will make a great family dog! Charlie is such a sweet, loyal and fun dog. He’s easy-peasy, he just needs a little affection, a little adventure, and a couple treats daily. We are willing to test Charlie with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
I’m willing to bet you’ve never met a more perfect pittie before! Introducing, Peter! This guy will blow you out of the water!💙 Weighing in at 50.4lbs, a ripe age of 3 years old, and a gorgeous stature, this guy is now available for adoption. Peter is house and kennel trained, loves people, dogs, cats and kids! This boy is PERFECT! When you look up what “the whole package” means, it’s just a picture of Peter. 🐶💙 Peter has the personality we all crave. He is sweet, calm, playful, adventurous, loving, snuggly and friendly. I mean, we can go on with describing words for as long as you want. To sum up all of those words for you, we have chosen “perfect”💙 Here is a little something his foster mom has to say about him! “ Peter is absolutely thriving over here at our home! He’s extremely gentle with the kids and knows how to switch on and off and play mode when he’s playing with my dog. Ever since the second day they have been playing nonstop all day long he is such a cuddle bug Every day when I come home, he just wants to lay all on top of me on the couch and be petted.. he’s actually a pretty high energy dog when there’s another dog involved he constantly just wants to play and chew on his toys.. he’s not that quiet either. He’s definitely learned his voice and talks to us all the time.. I would highly suggest the family that does take him in should definitely consider them having another dog.. I have noticed he stays close to mine and will watch and follow her as she does things Or he will try to find her Before he goes and does something.. I feel my other dog has put a huge amount of confidence on him So that’s why I suggest having another dog as his ‘friend’” Peter loves meeting new dog friends and thoroughly enjoys meeting new people friends. He is a very happy go lucky boy. Everything amazes him. Peter would make an amazing hiking or water activity partner. This guy LOVES the water, sun bathing, and sniffing around the yard. He is not terrible on the leash but can use some work! He is very very smart and will pick up on training quickly. He is so fun!🐶🌲🌊 Peter has the best house manners. He likes to spend his time snuggling up on the couch, following you around for chores, and laying by your feet. He just wants to be included in everything you do! He will look at you with the most grateful eyes it’s hard to say no to him!🥺 Just one more treat!! Peter is food motivated and loves him some treats. This will make training fun and easy!🍗 With all the times we have mentioned how perfect he is, here is one more time! Peter is the perfect pup and is searching for the perfect family to call his own.
