Story
We found Beaux as a stray a year ago and we tried to find his owner. He is such a love bug. He gets along well with our other dogs. He is house broken and crate trained. He isn’t allowed on furniture but likes his doggy bed. We are hoping to find him a new home with people who will love him as much as we do. He is very good with children. We are moving and the place we are moving to doesn’t allow his breed.

Story
Hi! I'm Willie! I'm an approximately 3 year old, male, Staffordshirel/Bulldog mix who weighs 70lbs. I was found off of Pinion Lane in Rockwall on 09/06/2024 and never reclaimed. I have been described as a "Goofy Goober!" I love to play and bounce around. I like to talk to my people and love to play chase. I walk well on a leash and enjoy going on long walks. I absolutely love car rides and spending time running around the park with my people. I am great with kiddos but because of my energy, I'm suggested with kids 5 years old and up. I am not recommended with cats. I am a smart boy who picks up on commands and training quickly, I just need a family who has time and is willing to teach me how to be the perfect companion. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. I have been searching for my furr ever home for 136 days as of 1/20/2025 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my basic yearly vaccines and heartworm negative! If you are interested in making me your new best friend, please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. January 21, 2025, 2:20 pm

Story
Hayesel is a huge cuddle bug. She will be 5 years old on may 15 2025. She came with me from New York a few years ago. I’ve had her since she was a few weeks old. She’s a wonderful dog. Loves outdoors. Loves dog toys and treats. Loves to lounge around. She loves to play and is good with other animals and kids. Need to rehome due to relationship issues and can not bring her where I am currently staying

Story
Meet Rosie! Rosie is a humble young girl, who has no idea how cute she is with her funky ears. Don't let her age fool you. Rosie is an expert as catching treats in midair and loves to go for walks with her favorite humans. She is a spunky girl, who is looking for a home with a nice backyard to ramp around in and that has a comfy bed for her to cuddle up in at night.Rosie lived in a home with other dogs and has a playmate at the OHAR shelter that she thinks is the bee's knees (*see Lucky). However, Rosie told us that she'd prefer to be the only animal in the home. She really likes attention and to have all the lovin's for herself. If you'd like to meet Rosie and her crazy ears, contact us TODAY!Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Jasmine, adopted from Houston's Barc shelter in 2020, is about 7 years old now, with an unknown past likely involving recent motherhood prior to being fixed. At home, she's a cuddle bug, especially with men, but is vocal around big trucks and strangers at the door. She greets visitors with enthusiasm, then quickly becomes submissive, rolling around playfully. She is a very high energy dog. I took her for walks everyday as well as some occasional runs. She can run very fast for a very long time, pulling most of the way. IMPORTANT: The reason why we are rehoming her is because she recently had an incident in which she bit a four year old child. We reported the bite and she spent 10 days in quarantine observation. After investigation she was approved for rehoming. Prior to that she has had several issues with dogs. She is considered a reactive dog, which means she should be kept away from all other dogs. She has not bitten another dog unprovoked, but has when she has felt threatened.
