Story
Hi! I'm Willie! I'm an approximately 3 year old, male, Staffordshirel/Bulldog mix who weighs 70lbs. I was found off of Pinion Lane in Rockwall on 09/06/2024 and never reclaimed. I have been described as a "Goofy Goober!" I love to play and bounce around. I like to talk to my people and love to play chase. I walk well on a leash and enjoy going on long walks. I absolutely love car rides and spending time running around the park with my people. I am great with kiddos but because of my energy, I'm suggested with kids 5 years old and up. I am not recommended with cats. I am a smart boy who picks up on commands and training quickly, I just need a family who has time and is willing to teach me how to be the perfect companion. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. I have been searching for my furr ever home for 136 days as of 1/20/2025 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my basic yearly vaccines and heartworm negative! If you are interested in making me your new best friend, please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. January 21, 2025, 2:20 pm

Story
Haven is a 2yr old staffy-pointer mix weighs 52lbs. She's playful, smart, and affectionate. The ideal home for Haven would be a home with a yard and someone that can give her plenty of exercise. Haven does have a high prey drive so she would do best in a home with only other dogs. She's completed 2 rounds of basic obedience training. Haven is crate trained and knows commands sit, stay, down, crate, wait, shake, place and leave it. She's such a sweet girl that deserves to be spoiled! Havens crate is included with her adoption.

Story
Joey has been in our home since he was two months old. He is now five years old and still has the spunk of a puppy at times, but is all about a good snuggle whenever someone has time. Our little man has been with us throughout many life adventures and is always up to meet new people and new dogs. He loves the dog park and is amazing with other dogs, people and especially kids. Sadly our little girl is allergic to dogs and we need to find him a new home where he can continue to love life. We will be giving all of his stuff with him. Two dog beds, toys, food and water containers, his leash and collar as well as any treats he still has left. We also have some of his monthly pills left for heart-worm left. Joey is a part of our family and we hate to have him go, but will be happy to have him find a new family he can thrive with.

Story
SPECIAL POST for a SPECIAL GIRL - She's one of our Diamond Dogs with a reduced fee of $125.  Sweet, sweet Tangier, originally came from a high kill shelter and was adopted 3 years ago. The family has decided their home is too busy for her and their life has changed in a way they do not feel they are able to give her the time and attention she reserves.  Tangier is a spayed female Staffordshire/American Pitbull terrier mix, this sweet "Staffie" is 6 1/2 years old and weighs 63 pounds. She is black with beautiful white markings on her face, chest and paws. She is crate and house trained and very well behaved in the house. She can be trusted to have free roam of the house while her family is away. Her crate remains open because she loves to rest in it as her special den. Tangier is ready to hang out for a good nap on the couch near her favorite people. She doesn’t need a lot of exercise but LOVES a fun walk or car ride. Her family reports that she has never so much as ripped up a toy and is very well behaved. She greets people gently and if you’re approved may present her rump for a scratch. She is not a needy dog, just more of a quiet companion.  Tangier is gentle and sweet with other dogs, loves her toys and sleeping in her fluffy bed. Tangier is looking for her forever home where she will be a treasured and loved member of the family forever, If you think this wonderful girl might be your soul mate, please complete an application on our website and her foster mom will be in touch. Tangier is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, and Micro Chipped. She is heartworm negative.  If you think this angel might fit in at your place, please complete an application on our website and her foster mom will be in touch.       Apply for her today at https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/       We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program.
