Story
Your Future Couch Companion Carlitos is an 8-year-old gentleman with a calm and easygoing demeanor. This sweet, low-energy pup enjoys lounging around, sunbathing, and receiving belly rubs. https://youtu.be/zl4aIP1SVXU?feature=shared He gets along well with female dogs and would thrive in a home with a laid-back female canine companion. Carlitos is not fond of cats and should not be placed in a household with them. He does best in quieter, residential settings, such as a house or condo, where he can avoid the hustle and bustle of city life. Carlitos is great on a leash and enjoys leisurely walks, making him perfect for a family looking for a relaxed and loving companion. Although he may not be the most playful pup, he brings a gentle and affectionate presence to those who take the time to get to know him. Carlitos would flourish in a home where he can be a cherished member of the family, enjoying cozy moments and gentle companionship. If you're looking for a mellow, lovable dog who will appreciate the comforts of home and a warm spot on the couch, Carlitos is your perfect match. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
All dogs have best-friend potential, some are born for it, Charlie here is the born-with-it type. If you are looking for a buddy who will enthusiastically join you for a car ride just as happily as a walk to the mailbox, meet Charlie because that is him. He is the type that loves a leisurely walk before the neighborhood is awake or maybe even a little after-work jog. He is a whole lot of fun, good company and you would never say he is boring but, he does love the simple life. This is a dog that with a few toys, a yard to run around in, and a guaranteed snuggle buddy or two (you and yours) is all he needs to be happy.  Whatever the outing, the real joy is in the post-adventure snuggles. Whether it is a couch with you by his side or alone in his dog bed in the sun, Charlie knows how to relax. You may even hear a little snore sneak out! Charlie is estimated to be just over a year old, which explains the enthusiasm he approaches life with and the sparkle in his eye for the simple things. Weighing 54 lbs, full-grown, and possibly a boxer/staffie mix. In rescue breed and age cannot be guaranteed but we know a goofy boxer personality when we see one. You be the judge though, take a look at him in action here and keep an eye out for the goofy+bouncy signs of boxer and the silly let-loose of a staffie. The reason we can share so many specifics about Charlie’s personality and skills is thanks to the fact that he is waiting for his adoption day in an adoring foster home. They have shared praise for his house manners- no accidents, no marking, no counter surfing. Basically, he is all-around respectful of their home. This is a boy that is both house and crate trained which is a great head-start to being house-life ready. Charlie gets regular walks on the greenway in the city and has solid leash skills. The quiet morning walks are his favorite, almost like it helps him clear his head, the same as it does for us. Plus, he is a great car-rider so if you want to check out a new trail or sneak off to the mountains for some solo-time, Charlie will be absolutely be all-in! Charlie lives with another dog in his foster home and has showed so much patience for the ways of a puppy. He is a great playmate, shares toys and his bed freely, and has been nothing but gentle. In addition to the puppy he lives with, Charlie has been introduced to a variety of dogs, of varying sizes and different energy levels/playstyles. He undoubtedly best suits dogs with a slightly calmer energy level who are just as fun-loving. When I watch him play he gives me sweet older brother energy, he likes to lead and is happy to play rough, but always leads with love and maybe likes the sense of a “little authority,” but doesn’t exercise it unless he has to. Even then its still gentle. If Charlie were auditioning for the role of lead dog in your life, a cornerstone of his character would be home-life love. He doesn’t need to be bopping around town, he wants to be home because home is with you. If he could, he would bake you cookies and they would magically always be warm and fresh. He will greet you at the door with a smile and a wiggly butt. The only way you wont get a smile is if he has a toy in his mouth. As for kids, he has been around kids and is respectful, but his love of the slow paced life means teens and the hang-out-in-their-room vibe is much more his speed. He will be happy to hangout while they play video games or do homework. He is happy to self-entertain while you are gone, whether that is in a crate or with the eventual freedom of being a free-roaming dog. Either way he gets high marks- well behaved free-range and quiet and peaceful in a crate. A bonus in his future forever-family would be some experience with the boxer/staffie personality, both breeds share the promise of laughs and loyalty, with a need for direction and a confident owner.  Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Story
Walker is a very loving dog. He needs lots of attention and has never been alone. The reason we are re-homing him is because he and his brother have litter mate syndrome. We didn’t know of such a thing until it happened. He is 2 years old. The home that Walker needs is a very loving and caring home. He is used to being with people all day everyday. He does sleep and eat in his kennel. He has had some training for basic commands. He is a nervous guy and takes a bit before he is used to someone. He loves sprinklers and toys! Loves treats and showers! He gets tucked in every night with lots of soft blankets. He enjoys the occasional pup cup and loves to go for a drive. He could potentially get along with another dog because he does get along with our daughter’s dog. Just haven’t had him in a position of meeting other dogs.

Story
Ranger is a great guy who needs lots of love and attention. He has never been alone. He loves to play and run outside. He is also very food motivated and is a good communicator. He loves structure and knows commands. We are having to re-home him due to litter mate syndrome. He will turn 2 on Sept. 28th. He needs a home where he will be played with and able to run. He eats and sleeps in his kennel. He gets tucked in every night with lots of soft blankets around 9pm. He enjoys the occasional pup cup and drive. He loves swimming pools and hanging out. He would make a good companion to go and do things. He is a talker and loves to make people friends. Not sure about other dogs (besides the dogs we have) but it seems like he would get along with other dogs as long as they are introduced properly.

Story
Was adopted at 8 weeks. Approximately 2 plus years old. She does not get along with my smaller dog and bullies the little one. She definitely needs to be the only Pet. She was dog social until she got to be around two and changed her behavior. I’ve read this can happen with this breed. She has had training with a buzz collar and is leash trained. Does not do well with other pets. She cannot go to dog Parks any longer. Must have secure fenced yard. Need experienced dog lover of this breed. Would love to keep her but the little guy has been a family Member for 10 years. Comes with large dog kennel and her accessories. She really is a sweat Velcro dog but cannot be around other pets.

Story
Bailey is 5 and half years old, a sweetie and well behaved! Spayed, chipped and is vaccinated. Bailey needs a home with more space, yard or a family with more time to let her out. I just had a newborn and our apartment is too small. She's been raised with a small dog and toddler so she's good with them! But outside of her home and family she's nervous around kids and some dogs. She warms up to new people after some time and attention. Bailey loves hiking, camping and is a very strong swimmer! She's well trained inside and doesn't make accidents or destroy anything. She doesn't stay in a crate but is just fine home alone out of the crate. We're located in Vancouver Washington, let me know if you'd like to meet and see if Bailey is a good fit for you. Rehoming fee of sixty dollars.
