Story
Your Future Couch Companion Carlitos is an 8-year-old gentleman with a calm and easygoing demeanor. This sweet, low-energy pup enjoys lounging around, sunbathing, and receiving belly rubs. https://youtu.be/zl4aIP1SVXU?feature=shared He gets along well with female dogs and would thrive in a home with a laid-back female canine companion. Carlitos is not fond of cats and should not be placed in a household with them. He does best in quieter, residential settings, such as a house or condo, where he can avoid the hustle and bustle of city life. Carlitos is great on a leash and enjoys leisurely walks, making him perfect for a family looking for a relaxed and loving companion. Although he may not be the most playful pup, he brings a gentle and affectionate presence to those who take the time to get to know him. Carlitos would flourish in a home where he can be a cherished member of the family, enjoying cozy moments and gentle companionship. If you're looking for a mellow, lovable dog who will appreciate the comforts of home and a warm spot on the couch, Carlitos is your perfect match. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
This adorable boy is named Charlie. Charlie would make an amazing family dog, or a great loyal and loving companion dog to anyone ready for some silly sweetness in their life. Charlie has so much to brag about, he’s easy on leash, great in the car, a canine-socialite that loves his doggy-friends, great with kids, and so friendly. He’s so fun and silly, a really great companion dog. He knows basic commands, he’s good in his crate, playful and snuggly, and super gentle! We believe that Charlie is a Pittie mix, maybe AmStaff and Boston Terrier, around 11 months old. He weighs in around 50 lbs right now, the perfect size for snuggles! Charlie is a rescue, so his exact age and breed are a bit of a mystery and cannot be guaranteed. Watch Charlie here: https://youtu.be/GThTkwLDQyA?si=mS1etGM3-0chJXGP Charlie has GREAT manners, he’s easy on leash, good in the car, and great in the house! No indoor accidents, no marking, no counter surfing, and not too jumpy or mouthy! This boy is solid, and ready for his forever home! Charlie is a solidly medium energy boy, with a love for adventure that can only be matched by his penchant for comfy naps. He’s a huge fan of leash walks, and a connoisseur of comfortable sleeping spots. Charlie takes treats gently, and he’s very treat-motivated. He knows a handful of basic commands already, and he eagerly shows them off for snacks! He loves toys too, especially Nylabones! He’s good about sharing them too. Charlie is currently fostered in a home with a foster puppy, who he gets along well with and plays with often. They share beds, toys and treats without issue. Charlie’s foster dad reports that he’s also a champ at bath time, super patient and gentle. Charlie is great with other dogs, here at the rescue he played with some other dogs of his size and age. Heston did great with them! He politely greeted them, and he wasn’t too pushy with his play. He’s a socialite and his social skills are amazing! He’ll make a wonderful friend for your pup! Charlie did well meeting small scruff dogs as well, we’re proud to call him small-dog friendly. Here at the rescue, Charlie was cat-tested by our behavior team. Unfortunately Charlie was a little too interested in the kitty, so we do recommend him for a cat-free home. Otherwise, Charlie could likely do well in just about any animal lover’s home. Charlie was also kid-tested here at the rescue, and he did wonderfully meeting a three year old boy. We are recommending Charlie for a home with older, dog-savvy kiddos, he will make a great family dog! Charlie is such a sweet, loyal and fun dog. He’s easy-peasy, he just needs a little affection, a little adventure, and a couple treats daily. We are willing to test Charlie with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. Story
Walker is a very loving dog. He needs lots of attention and has never been alone. The reason we are re-homing him is because he and his brother have litter mate syndrome. We didn’t know of such a thing until it happened. He is 2 years old. The home that Walker needs is a very loving and caring home. He is used to being with people all day everyday. He does sleep and eat in his kennel. He has had some training for basic commands. He is a nervous guy and takes a bit before he is used to someone. He loves sprinklers and toys! Loves treats and showers! He gets tucked in every night with lots of soft blankets. He enjoys the occasional pup cup and loves to go for a drive. He could potentially get along with another dog because he does get along with our daughter’s dog. Just haven’t had him in a position of meeting other dogs.

Story
Ranger is a great guy who needs lots of love and attention. He has never been alone. He loves to play and run outside. He is also very food motivated and is a good communicator. He loves structure and knows commands. We are having to re-home him due to litter mate syndrome. He will turn 2 on Sept. 28th. He needs a home where he will be played with and able to run. He eats and sleeps in his kennel. He gets tucked in every night with lots of soft blankets around 9pm. He enjoys the occasional pup cup and drive. He loves swimming pools and hanging out. He would make a good companion to go and do things. He is a talker and loves to make people friends. Not sure about other dogs (besides the dogs we have) but it seems like he would get along with other dogs as long as they are introduced properly.
