Story
We call him Toto because he showed up after Helene! He is very street smart and comes and goes from our fenced yard through a hole in the fence. We are both back to work FT and we take our other dog to a daycare during the week. We just don’t have the time/$$ for another right now! He is super sweet, very loveable—he plays well with our chocolate lab and calm on a leash. Completely house trained but he does have a thing for pillows!! We have a doggy door and we have come home a few times to a pillow stuck in the doggy door bc he was trying to take it outside!😂 We do not have kids but in walking him, kids want to pet all the time and he is very sweet with them. I have not seen him get aggressive at all in the month we’ve been taking care of him. He also was clearly trained to stay in the main parts of the house at one point, because he practically refuses to go into bedrooms. He will stand at the archway of the door until you come back out!

Story
We are certified trainers who sometimes use our skills to help dogs in need. We adopted Keeva from the CMPD shelter this summer and have potty trained her and taught her all of her basic commands and how to walk nicely on a leash. She even passed the Canine Good Citizen test. Now all that is left is to find her a new home :) Keeva is extremely kindhearted and loves EVERYBODY. She is good with kids but her enthusiastic wiggles would knock small ones over. Keeva loves other dogs, but sometimes doesn't understand when they don't want to play with her. She's just a happy, goofy girl. She is "okay" with cats- she mostly leaves our cat alone, but sometimes gets "too interested." We can tell her to "leave it" and she listens, but I would not trust her alone with a cat. Keeva has no major behavioral issues- zero resource guarding, separation anxiety, or any type of aggression. She is quiet in her crate and whines at the door when she needs to go potty.

Story
Valor is an American Bully. He has the most amazing eyes…eyes that say he has a kind soul. Valor just wants to be loved. He rides well in a car and walks well in a leash. He is crate trained also. Due to his excitement when he sees you after a long day at the office, he does zoomies. For this reason, we recommend children over 12. He will definitely make you laugh.

Story
Auri was found roaming the streets and brought in as a rescue. She is approximately 2 years old. She is a sweet dog and loves to be with her person. However, Auri does not do well with other animals and would require an only dog home. She has been through beginner dog training courses and knows “sit”, “wait”, “down”. She is kennel trained and house trained. Auri enjoys going on walks, having time to chew her bones, cuddling on the couch, and is beginning to enjoy playing fetch!

Story
I've had Atlas since he was 10 weeks. He's three years old now (will be 4 in October) but still acts like a puppy. Atlas is very energetic and needs someone who has the time to train him and take care of him properly. He's been acting out and having behavioral issues recently and seems to have lost all the training we've worked on for 3 and a half years so he needs someone committed to him. He's a really good dog and has amazing potential with someone who can give him all the attention he deserves. He doesn't like other animals at all and he's very judgemental of people (normally doesn't like them). Even with his recent troubles with training, he does know to "sit" and "wait" at breakfast and dinner time. He loves car rides, destroying toys, and snacks. He enjoys walks as well but he doesn't have leash manners so I normally walk him at night or early in the morning to avoid reactivity problems. He's a handful but he's a really sweet dog that just needs love and patience.
