Story
Hello!!! Thank you for checking me out! My foster mom says I am absolutely perfect and the sweetest dog she has ever met! If you are looking for care free, easy going, full contact cuddler of a dog, that's me!!! I absolutely adore my humans and want to be with them all the time! I love going for walks, car rides, and I make an excellent running buddy despite my little legs! Watching TV and snuggling is my absolute favorite, you will never be on the couch alone again! And I am a petite little girl that won't take up too much of the couch... or your lap... or the bed. I love every person I meet and always have a huge smile on my face! I love going into my crate because there are always yummy snacks in there! And toys are my favorite! Especially the ones with the squeakers that I rip out in seconds. I do prefer to be the only dog in the house as I want all the attention to myself. I would love to be part of your family and keep you entertained all day long!!! We do not have a facility for you to visit.  WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, you will want to complete the  ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP ,  which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find  a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $220 for adults, $295 for puppies (under 6 months), and $150 for seniors (8 yrs and up) which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.   November 23, 2024, 7:39 am

Story
Buddy is a great dog however we are looking for a new home due to an incident with our other dog. He bit the other dog after she growled while guarding food. Unfortunately, he got her only sighted eye. She is now blind. I feel for her we need to remove Buddy as she is elderly, small and blind now. He is generally well behaved, crate trained although he can be left alone without issue except he will counter surf if anything good is available. He will jump in greeting with new people.

Winter is a 2 year old goof ball! Loves her daily zoomies, loves to cuddle and play. Shes still a puppy, we call her a scary giant, still getting used to certain sounds, and pretty skittish. With a little more exposure I believe she will be fine. She’s a 50 lb lab dog. Winter will fit best with a family that is home a lot often. She loves attention

Story
MEET BLUE ! Blue was found lost and hungry on the streets of Detroit. He is a sweet, sweet boy who loves to play and cuddle. He loves people and other dogs and seems to be very comfortable around children. Blue is 8 months and weighs 45lbs, he’s great on leash, potty trained, and making huge strides with crate training. He is truly the sweetest, happiest boy - a classic blue pittie who will make the best addition to any loving home. He will need to be neutered still but rescue covers that!

Story
Cooper, a male Staffordshire terrier puppy was abandoned and chained up to a fence in Core City. My roommate and I found him on November 24th cold and without food. We took him in to keep him warm and fed as he was quite emaciated when we found him. Cooper is a very sweet, cuddly Pitbull still learning about the world around him. He is friendly with other dogs, cautious of new people but not aggressive, and is overall a sweet puppy. Please help us find him a forever home!
