Name: Gary &Gunnar Age: Gary -6 years Gunnar -3 years Weight: Gary -45lbs Gunnar -75 lbs Good with Cats: Gary yes, Gunnar not great Kids: good with kids. Gunnar is a little enthusiastic so maybe not small kids Nofault of their own, and it breaks my heart to try and rehome them, but I am now an empty nester, with a very demanding work travel schedule and they simply aren not getting the attention/activity that they need. PROS🌟 they are snuggle bugs, and protective of each other and their humans. Gunnar spends time each night checking on everyone while we watch TV etc. they are not food or resource aggressive, they get along with other dogs. They love hanging in the yard and sunbathing. They love walks. They know simple commands and are crate trained.

Chance had a rough start but has made a remarkable change in the few short weeks he has been in the rescue. He loves to play, is house and crate trained, food motivated, and gets along well with his foster sister and brother (dogs) and his 4 cat foster brothers and sisters, as well as the humans. Chance is currently undergoing HW treatment but we expect a full recovery once his 2nd and 3rd treatments are complete in early March. His treatment does not change anything other than his heartrate should not be elevated until after his treatment is complete. He walks on a leash relatively well (still working on it) and will need to be worked with on listening but ultimately a wonderful dog for a family.

Story
Marissa is a three-year-old, 50-pound staffie terrier mix that is boarding with a rescue partner in S GA. She was initially with another rescue, but she and one of our dogs there, who is very dog-reactive, struck up a friendship, so we asked if we could take her so he would have a buddy. She has been there for a year now, receiving rave reviews and being good with everything. It’s not fair to hold her back longer. We wish for the pair to be adopted together, as they are both well-behaved and good dogs. If not, we hope Marissa can find a home for them.
