He was found as a stray, but you'd never guess it by how quickly he's adapted to the comforts of indoor life. Moo has mastered the art of being calm and respectful, both inside the home and out. Whether it’s taking a leisurely stroll, where he walks beautifully on a leash, or simply hanging out at home, this boy is a breeze to have around. Moo is incredibly polite with other dogs, though he tends to get along better with females. He’s quiet in his crate, making him a great fit for a variety of living situations, and his gentle nature around humans will melt your heart. Despite his limited exposure to life indoors, Moo is catching on quickly, showing how smart and eager he is to learn. If you're searching for a loyal, low-maintenance companion who is ready to be part of your family, Moo is the one. He’s waiting to bring his calm and loving energy into a home that will give him the care and affection he deserves!

Story
Hi! My name is Maren, and I love to snuggle! I will snuggle with people and dogs. My Foster Mommy says I am intelligent and a fast learner. I am housetrained, and I will sit nicely for treats. My foster mom says I am very responsive to treats and learn easily. I love my fur dog sisters, but the cat here scares me, so no cats for me! I love all people, but in my happiness, I might knock down the really tiny humans when I greet them. I promise I’m working on that!   I have a lot of energy for running and playing and enjoy being outside in a fenced yard; maybe I can help wear out your children as long as they aren't too young. I wouldn't want to knock them over. I am very well-behaved inside and only chew on my toys and bones. I am also crate-trained and know a few commands. And while I don’t drink beer, you can take me with you and do some outdoor stuff, so I can be with my family, wherever they are.   Would you happen to have a good home for me?  Go to the website listed below and fill out an adoption application so we can meet.       An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          November 5, 2024, 4:02 pm

Story
Penny is a two-year-old, 43-pound pittie mix that was found when we were looking for another dog just like her that we lost. When we found her she was injured and limping, so we cleared her with the shelter and then took her to our vet. She was frightened at first but has thrived in the foster home and they say that she is the sweetest dog they have fostered, and ticks all the boxes for what a family or individual would look for in this breed. Penny is sweet, smart, loving, house and crate trained, great with dogs big and small and is a chill dog, who is happy to snuggle on the couch and watch TV. If you want to foster or adopt Penny, Please go to www.atlantalabrescue.com and apply. ##2213306##

Story
This handsome lowrider is Bart! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 9/25, and no one has come to reclaim him. Bart is now hoping for a new, forever home where he will be loved and kept safe so that he never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Bart as friendly and inquisitive. He loves to sniff around and explore. Bart is extremely food motivated and he'll work for them! He does get super excited when they're offered to him and he needs some work on taking them gently. He does seem to have a bit of a head tilt, so it may be something to have looked at by your veterinarian. Bart is approximately 4 years old, and he weighs 47 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he will be neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Please come meet Bart in run 60; his ID # is 5861. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Please contact Tammy for more information about this pet.Easy-going family manHector is a mature gentleman who is pretty low-key but still enjoys romps around the yard and most definitely cuddles. Hector is currently in home boarding as we continue to search for his forever home. His caretaker says he's charming and she loves having him around.  Hector was a county shelter dog adopted by someone nearby. Despite being found roaming and returned to his adopter many times, Hector's resilience shone through. The last time he was loose, he walked himself to the shelter and asked to come in. We can do better for Hector and must make it happen. We have been working on Hector's home for over a year now! It's up to us to give this guy a better ending! Hector is so sweet and deserving. He's selective with dog friends, but we are 100% willing to do meet & greets to assess compatibility and coach you through a happily ever after. Your role in Hector's journey is crucial, and we believe it's simply a matter of Hector's story reaching the right person at the right time!  Age: 8 years   Weight: 75 lbs Temperament: Gets along with all adults, kids and some dogs Training: House and crate-trained, knows some commands. Vetting: Neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention.   For questions, please email rmaan95@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. November 6, 2024, 12:45 pm
