Story
Come see Roxy at Westbrook Outlet at 314 Flat Rock Place, Westbrook CT on October 26th and 27th, 20924 from 11:00am to 4:00pm. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ANY OF OUR DOGS PLEASE APPLY ONLINE IMMEDIATELY. See www.godogdays.org for details. Here is more information about me: GENERAL BEHAVIOR AND IDEAL HOME: sweet, submissive, cuddly • Most rescues will not adopt out dogs – including puppies – to families with children under the age of 6 years old. • Rescues will not allow dogs or puppies to go to homes where they will be crated during the work day. The rescue has noticed this dog is generally good with dogs. However dogs, like people, act differently in different settings and a new adopter should expect there will be an adjustment period of time before before the dog settles in to a new home. At this time we ONLY adopt to residents of the state of Connecticut who live no more than one hour from the event site. GENERAL VETERINARY CARE: I have been ~ spayed/neutered ~ microchipped ~ dewormed ~ heartworm-tested negative if dog is of age to be tested ( 6 months or older) ~ up to date on all age appropriate shots ~ treated with a flea preventative ADOPTION FEES Rescues participating in our events are not allowed to charge more than $450 an adoption fee and some adoption fees are much less - it depends on what the rescue chooses to charge - Dog Days does not take any portion of the adoption fees. ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION FORM: http://godogdays.org/find-my-new-best-friend.htm (Copy and paste to browser.) ADOPTION PROCESS - Before the Event If you would like to begin the application process, please fill in the form at the link above and we will review your information, call your personal and well as vet references. PLEASE Fill in the application if you're interested in adoption, this will save you time at the event. We hope you will understand the careful scrutiny of potential adopters is not only for the safety and well-being of the dog but also for a positive experience for your household. Thank you for saving the life of a shelter dog through adoption; you are truly a hero. -- A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference. -- If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property. Dog Days will be conducting interviews of prospective adopters. -- If you have never owned a dog and therefore do not have a vet reference let us know right away and we'll try to do a home visit before the adoption weekend. First time adopters need a quick home visit to make sure they are ready to take a dog home for the first time. ADOPTION PROCESS - During the Event Weekend -- Plan on spending at least three to four hours going through the adoption process. We want you to be completely confident in your new pal so we will ask you to speak to a trainer, a veterinarian as well as interview with a member of our adoption team and the rescue. -- As a policy, Dog Days will not hold dogs for potential adopters so it is important to come to the event by 11:00am Saturday morning if you have your heart set on a particular dog. -- PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS ARE GIVEN TO THE BEST HOME, NOT FIRST IN LINE. -- At this time we ONLY adopt to residents of the state of Connecticut who live no more than one hour from the event site. Each dog and puppy has been seen by a Connecticut veterinarian who will also be on site to answer any questions you may have. We'll have professional groomers on site to give your new pal a bath before you take them home (no charge) and our adoption bags will give you information and samples for use at home. See www.godogdays.org for details.

Story
Farrah is one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet!! Such a gentle soul and loves everyone! She showed up at a resident and they took care of her until rescue could take her. She is ready to travel to her new home. Farrah gets along great with all dogs and just loves all the foster puppies at her foster mom's home. She walks great on a leash and would make a great running/walking buddy. She also loves to just snuggle with her human in the cool air conditioning. We don't know her breed, but she resembles a chocolate lab mix and possibly a Staffordshire Terrier. A DNA test would be interesting. Farrah didn't get to start her life out very well as we don't know how she got the scars on her forehead where hair doesn't grow very good there. She also has some missing teeth on her lower left jaw but this doesn't take away from her beauty at all!! We do know that she is a sweet and soulful girl that would make the perfect pet for the family looking for a chilled dog that just loves to show her gratitude for being alive. Go ahead and apply to adopt this beautiful girl. She is ready to have her forever home!! Farrah is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested positive for heartworms, BUT has received her treatments and is ready to travel. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

"Hi, my name is Mila, and I am a young female dog who is athletic, friendly, and looking for a loving home. I was picked up by an Animal Control Officer in West TN because I was running the streets looking for food. Unfortunately, my human could no longer afford to feed me. I am an energetic dog who loves to run, play, and explore, and would be a great companion for someone who enjoys the outdoors. I am a very intelligent dog who is always eager to learn new things and prove my loyalty. If you are looking for a loving and loyal companion, look no further than me, Mila! I am excited to meet you and hope to become your furry friend for life!" Mila is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Levi is a 2 year old Pitbull mix. He is a really playful boy, so he would do best in a home that loves adventure! Levi has some resource guarding that he is working on here and will need continued training when he is adopted. His adopter should be experienced with this breed and resource guarding. He is an amazing dog ,but he requires real structure. Levi just finished his first group training class at Dog Gone Smart and did terrifically! Levi has been at PAWS way too long! His ideal family would be a couple or single person with no children in the home where Levi can decompress without being too overwhelmed. He loves to go on hikes and play ball and would make a wonderful active companion. He has had small play groupings with female dogs. He would do best as the only dog in the home, however, Levi is microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations and neutered. His adoption fee is discounted.
